could you please do a chart request for my great uncle. he's getting more into spiritual things nowdays. he has had a lot of stuff happen to him in his life. i'm wondering what the chart shows for him, and if there was a life lesson to be learned from all this in his life. he would also like to know if he was reaping or sowing in this life. Thanks so much!

Obie, it appears the other readers are either on vacation or no longer reading, so it is just me right now. If you were skipped it was not intentional, I assure you. I still have the one for your friend Kelly to get to, so I will add your uncle's to the list. All chart requests will be completed in the order in which they were received, to the best of my knowledge.

Okay, here, you have your Sun in the deep feeling sign of Cancer, Moon in objective Virgo and ambitious Capricorn rising. Cool and collected Virgo is an excellent counterbalance to emotional Cancer. Both have in characteristics common such as caution and being traditional. You never jump to conclusions and make sure you have plenty of time to think before making any major decisions. You appear very sure of yourself, but when younger you likely had problems either with shyness or self-esteem. But as you age and learn from your experiences, your confidence blossoms. You feel at your best when concentrating on details and keeping things organized. You have an excellent relationship with those in authority, for you don’t feel it necessary to rock the boat. People are attracted to your cool head and often ask you for advice on various matters. The only problem this can cause is if you react with your emotions first, you can widely misjudge a situation. But give you time to calm down and that Cancerian hunch system is back at full strength. The coldness that can result from Capricorn on the Ascendant is warmed considerably by your Cancer Sun. But nothing can disguise the determination and ambition at your heart. You keep that determination to yourself and work hard to come across in a genial and sympathetic manner. You easily blend the impersonal with the sincere and would make an excellent motivator of people. No matter what you do it is certain you will rise to high status or otherwise be recognized for your hard work. You instinctively understand that good things require work and time and are more than willing to expend the effort necessary to reach your goals. You make many friends and you strive not to hurt their feelings no matter what happens. But you never lose sight of your goals and drive a shrewd bargain with a smile on your face the entire time.
Saturn really packs a punch your chart. Not only does he rule your Ascendant (outer personality), but he’s in the First House in his ruling sign of Aquarius which further emphasizes his power. A First House Saturn suggests that your personal ambition is to attain prominence and overcome problems regarding self-expression. Your goals include personal happiness, financial security, general well being and personal fulfillment. Periods of gloom and discontent are certain but eventual success will come through your ability to manage others, practical ability and protracted effort. Progress may be slow but you are sure to gain a good reputation, honor and credit through persistence, acquired ability, worldly wisdom and continual effort. A strong ego must be evolved and an agreeable social persona adopted. These qualities will enable you overcome feelings of fear and self-doubt, and to face the challenges of the outer world with courage and self-confidence - a free soul with a true sense of worth and purpose.
Your marriages (or other relationships) tend towards the stormy side. With Juno here square your Ascendant, you may have some conflicts. (Well okay, perhaps screaming fits is a better term.) You're constantly being forced to reevaluate your perspective on your marriage(s), which could be good or bad. When you love, you love with energy and passion. You value personal contact, cutting through all the externals and getting to the heart of things. You understand and appreciate vulnerability and have no compunction about presenting your own sensitive spots to others. You enjoy working behind the scenes, getting at secret and hidden areas of the mind and psyche. Changes and transformative experiences are where you like to be most. There may be power struggles where one of you tries to "own" the relationship. And you can easily move from “I love you," to "I hate you," to "I'm gonna stalk you for the rest of your life." It won't be boring!

Hi, Keishin - depends on the reader. I don't do them in strict order. I must admit, I've been so busy recently I haven't really had time to do chart readings here, but did one yesterday for someone who was born in a town I know well near to me, so the synchronicity of it jumped out at me, so I did it anyway (and skipped the others). Also, I'll often do charts for people who are newer posters here who haven't already had chart requests in the past. For example, nothing personal Obie, and I'd certainly get round to yours sometime, but I've done a couple for you already a while back and you've had lots of requests done over the last 18 months for various friends. Nothing wrong with that, but I'll tend to give newbies a bite at the cherry before regulars to mix things around a bit.
Some readings are easier than others. If someone says "is this eclipse going to affect my chart?" it's a quick and easy five minute answer, so if I have a few minutes spare I'll answer it, whereas that won't be long enough for me to do a usual chart reading for another poster. If someone asks, as they did recently, for a detailed month by month horoscope, well that's quite a few hours' work and I don't have a few hours, so that would go to the back of my queue.
It's also really good to get feedback, even if it's negative (for example, "nope, doesn't sound like me at all"), because that's how we hone our art and become better astrologers. By feedback, I don't mean someone being polite and saying "thanks", but giving pointers about which bits rang true and which bits didn't. Readings on here are a two-way process. When I do several readings for a poster and never get any feedback in the thread, I assume that I'm probably off-beam or that I'm not giving them what they're looking for in a reading, in which case further readings are probably a waste of their time and mine. So I'll certainly give priority to posters who engage in the process and give feedback in the thread to whoever's doing the reading.

Thanks so much for doing the reading for my great uncle. I really appreciate it. Some parts definitely ring true, others not so much.
The part about my uncle having shyness/low self esteem is definitely true. He had some trouble making friends in his early years. Also, his self esteem was at an all time low which contributed to a lot of his troubles later in life.
However, in that same paragraph you mention organization skills and being able to get along with authority. Those things could not be further from the truth. My uncle was not the organized type. Also, he never got along well with his father who was a real tyrant. he also had troubles with his bosses thruout the years. He also did not have a cool head as you said in your reading. he was a hot tempered man in his youth and as a result burned a couple of bridges.
Some things that rang true about my uncle you did a good job of mentioning....he was a very ambitious and determined man. Always determined to find work and provide for his family. However he did not come out as ambitious or someone who wants to move on up. He seemed very down to earth. However the determination was in him.
"A strong ego must be evolved and an agreeable social persona adopted. These qualities will enable you overcome feelings of fear and self-doubt, and to face the challenges of the outer world with courage and self-confidence - a free soul with a true sense of worth and purpose" This is definitely something my uncle had struggled with but had achieved later in life.
What you said about his love life is very true. He was a very passionate man. There was a lot of fighting in his relationships but one thing that was true was that he was a very loving man to all of his wives. he wasnt afraid to open up or be vulnerable to ppl. some women liked this, others did not. his love life was NEVER boring as you mentioned.
Thanks so much for doing the reading for my uncle. Most of it is pretty accurate except for some things which i mentioned.

The thing to remember if things don't seem exactly true is that we all grow as we age. Sounds like a "no duh", but what I mean by that is we all learn to work with our charts and emphasize our positives and diminish our negatives. The qualities identified in our charts can be harnessed in other ways as we gain the experience to work with them consciously instead of at the level of insticnt. One of my favorite examples of this is a friend of mine who has Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all in Aries (over the 6th & 7th houses). You'd think she'd be very Arian in her expression. Actually no. She's very patient, kindhearted and considerate of others because she has spent *20 years* learning how to be patient and hold her tongue. She said it took a lot of work, but as she got older she learned ways to work with her Aries tendencies so they woudn't cause her problems. (Even with this I still know better than the challenge her to a competition! She's still an Aries to the core! )
