Hey guys...
Ok, so I did a yes/no spread concerning love...My question was is it a good idea to get back together with my ex, considering he told me he loved me and wanted us to get back together. I love him, so I consulted the cards you know cuz at the moment I'm in another relationship. Uh, it's a new relationship. There aren't really emotions involved, but he's a nice boy, so it's a pretty confusing situation.

Anyway, the cards I got were The Hierophant reversed, The Sevon of Cups, and The Magician. I know the general meaning of the cards, but in a love spread they're kind of hard to figure out. So if any of you can help me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Here's something easier because from what I know, yes/no spread should basically consist of two cards. The "yes" and "no" cards.

Get a pack of playing cards, shuffle them like you would with your tarot cards, asking your question to yourself. Deal out the cards one by one until you get either a 9 of hearts (Yes) or a ten of spades (no). And there you have it. Easy. :hahugh:

Kodachi's spread is very good. Also if you wanna use your tarot cards for the spread you can. It's just 9 of cups = yes and ten of swords = no. :)

Just to add on, it might be more useful to ask open ended questions that don't result in 'yes' and 'no'. Because if you just have those as straight answers, you can't see why yes and why no, and what will happen as a result, what you have to lose, etc...

As for your cards - I would say that they represent a situation where you need to overturn convention (or have already done so) and provide a burst of energy to pierce the veil of illusion surrounding the situation. Thus I think the answer may be "Yes, if you use your own powers to overturn what people expect of you and cut through any BS." Don't quote me on that though, I work much better when I can see the cards in question because I work from images rather than keywords.

If I want a yes-no answer, I cut. The general meaning of the card gives the answer: e.g. the Devil or Tower or Death would be No, while e.g. the Four of Wands or the Nine of Cups would be Yes.

Also some people use reversals to indicate what's going on. Three cards provide a tie-break - just like in the I Ching. Sounds like your answer is "maybe yes", using the following method:

Three reversals - definitely no.
Two reversals, one upright - maybe no OR not yet.
Two upright, one reversal - maybe yes OR soon.
Three upright - definitely yes.

Which ties in with the general cards you got when using conventional interpretation techniques.
