Hey all,
I am not one that likes to ask for any kind of help, but I could really use some now. I am sitting here looking at an eviction notice from our landlord. My husband and I have gone to the county for help, but I am not holding my breath for that one. I would go to our parents but they are in tight spots on their own and they've helped us enough already. I just don't know what to do. I am totally freakin here. We have a ten month old and I don't want to be homeless, we would go live with my in laws if it came to that, but its the principal of it you know. I guess I am asking for any and all prayers, good vibes, whatever you all got to spare I'll take. Thank you in advance for the kind words, energy, and prayers.

I totally feel for you. Myself and my family were in a similar situation a few years back. It's so scary and you almost feel like a failure to your children. My energies and thoughts are with you.

Thanks again everyone. I've heard back from the county and they've stated that my husband losing hours at work and not having money for rent doesn't qualify as an emergency. The woman also said that she didn't think I understood the meaning of the word emergency. She also said that we should've planned for it as we knew this was coming. She also said that we need to find more affordable housing cause we obviously can't afford to live here anymore. I told her that we've had our apartment for two years and that this was a one time deal and that we really needed help. She told me that she would be glad to help me set up a down payment on a new apartment when I get evicted from the one I am in. :flamer: Now if she is welling to give me about $400 for a down payment on a new place why can't she give me the same amount and help me with the rent I owe now? I hate the government and the red tape and the paper work that you must fill out for anything only to hear sorry you're denied. BLAH!!! I am going to one day have enough money to buy an island and I won't have to worry about this crap!!!!

Thanks everyone for your support! We've gone on to steps 2 and 3. We've contacted another agency that might be able to help. We also got our taxes done, for free might I add. So now we are waiting to hear back from the agency and we are waiting to get our refunds as well.
