Prenestine Lots

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Prenestine Lots? I found a brief little description on a Divination page. All it says is that it was popular in ancient Italy. It says that lots with the letters of the alphabet were put into a urn, shaked, then cast out onto the floor or other surface. The words formed would be taken as omens.
I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about them before I go on a happy little searching spree. :D

Wow, you're right, there isn't much of a definition, is there? Or any information on how to do it. In the process of looking I found two sites with long lists of different methods of divination:

Yeah thanks. I think I've been on every page that has any info on them. (which by the way is only 3 or maybe 4) I think I'm going to go buy me some of that clay that you bake int he oven theis week and try them out. For some reason they kinda call to me. thank you

I think I'm going to have to do some more searching though. I just can't believe theres so little info on the web about them. If I find anything else (on or off the web) I'll post it just incase anyone else is interested. :D

You probably looked at the same two sites that I did. Absolutely nothing on the interpretations. Maybe someone will come up with something.

However, those sites have methods I've never heard of, so I'm glad you threw this out there!

Yeah I think I did. :D but hey like you said I had never heard about those sights either and they have alot of divination methods on them.

:) alot is an understatement! Theres loads! ;) We can deffinatley explore some of these here and get this forum heated up abit again!
at a glance ~ I especially like the shell scrying one http://www.paralumun.com/shell.htm just wish I had bought a big shell in cancun now :( I knew they were calling me for somehting but didnt have enough pesos's
