View Full Version : Humble request for my son's friend...

I'll try to make this brief. My son has a friend who has been in his life since Kindergarten, they are now 18. This friend, whose name is Ryan was riding a dirt bike a few weeks ago and he had an accident.

The bike fell on his ankle and basically crushed it. My son was with him and rushed him to our local hospital, which we all jokingly call the morgue. Well, they overdosed him on morphine and he was dead for 7 minutes. They did revive him and finally sent him to another hospital for reconstructive surgery.

The doctors at this hospital did the surgery plus skin graft that was required and when they put the protective boot on him, they tore the skin graft off (without knowing it). He then got a very bad infection and they injected him with a very strong antibiotic.

My son talked with him today and he isn't doing very well. Due to the need for the super strength antibiotic, he has developed some sort of bacterial infection in his intestines. They aren't sure what to do at this point.

If you can, please send healing energy to this young man. He has a twin brother named Brett and they are so close it isn't even funny.

I am sending all that I can and trying to get his Dad to give him probiotics and yogurt, things that will help repopulate the good bacteria in his intestines, but I don't know if the doctors will allow it.

If you need a visual of this young man, he has short blond, curly hair. He has blue eyes and is pretty slim. He is in a hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He is a very nice boy and doesn't deserve to die because of the mistakes of someone else. Thank you all in advance for any help that you can provide. So much for keeping it short..._inabox_

I just wanted to let you all kow that Ryan is being sent home tonight. I am amazed, even though I know the healing power of positive thoughts and energy, I am still amazed. He is doing so much better that they feel confident that he can go home! I will say that I believe we all (MW and Co.) had a lot to do with it, considering that the doctors have been absolute buffoons in this whole matter. They aren't sure that he will be able to keep his foot, but I am just happy that he is doing so much better since last night. Thanks again and please know that I appreciate that people who don't really know me and mine would expend their precious time and energy.

Namaste,

Dawn

Oh honey that is such good news. I will continue to keep him in my prayers that he does not loose his foot but rather that it heals completly. :hugz:

Thank you. And my son thanks you as well. We have been so worried about Ryan that it seems a miracle that he could survive this ordeal even if he does lose his foot. I am finally able to focus on the hope that he will be able to keep his foot, but we are so grateful that he is alive that it seems small in comparison. I have just been floored by the thought that a person could lose their life over an injury to an ankle. It reminds me to cherish every moment with loved ones.

Thank you,
We are all so grateful that he's alive, but waiting to see if he will keep his foot is a slow kind of torture. I am doing all that I can to aid his healing, and it helps to know that others are keeping him in their thoughts as well.

Thanks, you don't know what it means to me to have the support of so many wonderful people to aid him in his healing. I talked with his dad tonight and the doctors are fairly confident that as long as he does the necessary things, his foot will heal. I don't know why they are parsing information this way, a little bit at a time, but I am glad that things are looking good for him. Thanks again everyone, I know that you all had much to do with this swift reversal of his suffering.

All energies to this young man. And bless you for caring so much. These boys deserve to be sent energy in unison so that they can help their circle heal itself. ALSO, if the boys are willing, have the injured boys' parents INSIST that they get to see him. They can work together from there. Sorry to say, if it doesn't work out, at tleast the boys will be together to the end. A transition to their manhood, AND one of life's tests. It is just WRONG to have your friend to just disappear and only see him again in a box.
Love and energies to you and all the families involved, AND the caregivers of this young man.

Thank you so much Wolfjan1, I totally agree with you about the bond they all share. My son was in physical pain for days after the accident and I think it is because they have been so close and he was there when it happened. Ryan is doing much better now. He's home and all of his friends are congregating around him. He's got lots of loving energy to help him heal. We think his foot can be saved, but it will never be the same again. That's okay, though. He's fortunate to be alive. If one of his friends hadn't been in the room with him when they OD'd him on morphine, I doubt he would be here. Thanks again for all the wonderful energy and wisdom that everyone has given. I know that it has helped our situation.
