I think that I might go to Greece this summer. Even though I have looked at some travel books on Greece, I am still stuck on where to go. I want to visit some place that has a beautiful beach and/OR lovely ancient culture. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to go? I would appreciate your input immensely. I am just stuck after seeing that there are so many places and island to choose from.

Shnen, there will be room in my suitcase, since I only need to take a bathing suits, towels, and sunscreen. However, I think that your hat with the moon and the stars on it might take up more room than anticipated. :p

True! Who needs towels anyway? The hot sun will dry us off anyway. Phew, I didn't want you to go without your hat. Dalia, would be disappointed that you wouldn't be able to show the world of your lovely gift.

Yeah, in Poland bathrooms are guarded by evil-tempered gorgons who expect to get tipped for just standing there. I got into an argument with one once because she wouldn't tell me which of two doors was the ladies' room (there were no signs). So I started to leave the building without putting zlotys in her dish & she threw a fit. We gestured wildly & yelled at each other for a while & accomplished nothing. She either couldn't or wouldn't speak English & my Polish was limited to 'please', 'thank you', 'How much does this cost?', & something guaranteed to get me company if I hung around the docks.
Finally I insulted her heritage & complete lack of style & stomped off. I went into the next building & found the same situation: two doors with a gorgon, standing between them at a desk with a tip basket. I put on my best helpless tourist look & she laughed hysterically & pointed to the right one. She got a tip & the money that the first gorgon expected.

Have a great time in Greece, sweetie.

Oh my, you guys have helped me narrow down my decision. Yep, that's right; I would prefer to go to a place with a bathroom. :D I don't consider myself high maintenance, but I sure would be in for a big shock if there were bathroom problems.

yeah, a bathroom is one of those places where you just don't want to admit anyone else has ever been there before!

When I went on a tour in Cuba, I really had to go, and I had to pay .50 cents US (like .75 CAD) for a sheet of one ply toilet paper, the place had no doors, no flushing toilets, this lady went in after a few with a bucket of water to wash it down! *bleh*

That was my only bad washroom experience there though... and hey, not like ours here in Toronto are any better! but we get our toilet paper for free!
