Dizziness - super-physical explanation?

Since Saturday night I have been feeling "hyperconscious" - as if I am floating or about to float away (like a balloon that someone has let go of). I went to bed and felt as if I was too big for it - it's a bed which I have been sleeping in for three and a half years perfectly comfortably, and nothing was really different to Friday night.

Sunday night - I felt like I was fading in and out of consciousness, as if someone had me on a dimmer switch and was turning it up and down periodically.

Today I felt light-headed. I made sure I ate properly - big burger and chips, nothing unusual. I'm probably due for a menstrual cycle, but before those I usually feel the opposite - heavy and sick. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted from my head and it's not a bad feeling.

I haven't felt it before - I have been taking all my medication (anti-depressants and so on) and it is slightly like the feeling I get when I haven't taken them in the last 24 hours, but there has been nothing amiss with my routine and I have a supply that will last me for the next two months.

Any ideas? Is it my higher self trying to communicate? Am I about to make a conscious breakthrough that my unconscious mind - prone to premonitions - has already been through and is preparing my body for?

I don't feel ill, just very peaceful. I've been to see a healer who suggests it might be something but I thought I might throw this open to the group here to see if they have any suggestions or can "read" me from a distance.

Sounds like your third eye is trying to reopen, and that can feel like you have one foot in this world and one foot in another world. Rather disorienting and dizzying. Try to get control of this by doing something like meditation or tarot or candle gazing to open yourself to this higher knowledge. Make sure you ground yourself before and after doing this, and don't do it too often or too long at first.

You might want to ask about this in the Astrology forum. Just checking your date of birth, without setting up a chart, I can see that you're have some quite stressfull and strange transits.
The "spacy" feeling is probably from Jupiter transiting your Neptune (and possibly your Moon also) - Jupiter makes everything expansive, while Neptune is well, spacy. Your Progressed Moon, meanwhile, is conjuncting that same Neptune, so it's Neptune time generally! Neptune confuses and throws up illusions, so you need to be careful with all things psychic at this time - get plenty of psychic protection around you.
However, Saturn is also making a very stressful transit to your Mars, Venus & Uranus; this suggests that hormonal problems are exacerbating things.
However, I'm not much of a medical astrologer - best ask the peeps in the astrology forum, like I said.

I sense a period of great growth/change coming to your life and this may sound corny, but I have had other people desscribe the same feelings to me, when they were coming to a new path or psychic threshhold. I have had the same thing happen to me when ever a major change has been on the horizon for me. I call it the Disterncing feeling, because it feels like I am flowing away from something to something new and usually challenging. But that is my take on it. I looked at my big gsrden crystal and saw a doorway type of cloud in it. I read crystals and know nothing about tarot. So anyhoo hun, for what it's worth, those are my feelings.

Feeling a bit more balanced today, but perhaps I have assimilated the feeling.

Lunacie was right about the "autumnal" bits, because I noted that, just before I reached a previous threshold, I lost a book of drawings on holiday in Romania, in which I was recording my thoughts about politics and such (my "chosen" career path, though I think in this case it chose me) in September, just before Blair was forced out (a Romanian told me about it in a cafe in Timisoara!). I had another sketchbook with me and drew the characters of my book discussing its loss, and saying they felt "weightless, floating free - we can go wherever we want" (as in the Pulp song, "Space"). This was two days before I even heard that the UK had, in a political sense, upped anchor and set off on a new course. That was only metaphorical, but thank you very much for all your help.

My life, which is interconnected with my daughter's life, seems to be on hold until after her case goes to court, which is supposed to happen in June, still almost 3 months away. But she has this drive to move forward with her home-based business and get it set up in a location where she can do both manufacturing and retail sales. She has the greatest ideas for decorating a retail shop ! I think we're both too emotionally involved in this to do an unbiased reading... would you mind doing one to give us some direction on

As a coda to all this, just to mention - I used a ouija board (properly cleansed and protected) to receive some interesting information from someone who seemed to be trying to make me aware that I was not alone in my various struggles and issues over the past year or so. He was a former MP from my own party who had been watching over us and wanted to let us know that disapproval of current politics extended to those watching from other places, LOL! He even woke me up the other morning by whispering "don't worry" into my ear. I know it sounds weird, but reading the BBC website the other night brought it home to me that currently getting news from a ouija board is not much different to getting news from the internet, either in method or in coherency! (That was semi-tongue in cheek, but I think I got more out of "George" than out of the Beeb!)

I think I've passed out of the "awakening phase" and am a bit more serene and comfortable with things now.

If I had been more coherent last week I would have used the words "expanding consciousness" or "expanding awareness" to describe what you called "hyperconscious". Kinda like "spiritual growing pains" eh? ;)

Interesting to know that those on the other side are still concerned about politics. Here in the States we think Military Police when we hear/see the initials "MP". I know it has something to do with government over there but I've forgotten what it stands for in the UK?
