SORRY! x_x It's just a weird thing that happened to me, and this seemed the place to go. Just tell me where it's supposed to go and I'll forward it(if possible) or something if this isn't the spot.

OKAY! Now that that's out of the way, I had something to the extent of a dream. One night, a few months ago, I woke up to something feeling on my ankle. Trying to grasp it, if you will. I jerked my foot up coz' it scared me to death. I put my foot down, and nothing was there! I'm almost positve that this wasn't a dream, coz' I can remember what the hand felt like exactly, and how many fingers trying to grasp it(3).

Oh, and it only happened that once.

I don't mean to be cheesy-Ms. Supernatural or anything, but has ANYONE ever had an experience even remotely related to this?I just want to know if I am or am not the only one here who's gone through that.

Anyone know what it may mean if it was real(which I'm almost positive it was)? Any idea, even if it's just an inkling is welcome. I've been wondering about this a long time.

Thanks much,
Zoe

I've had several dreams where I felt physical touches right when I woke up. The feeling was that of some sort of pressure. Do you remember dreaming at all before you woke up?

I'm not sure, either, if they were dreams or if something came to me during the process of a dream ~ or if something was there while I was dreaming.......

Me too.. Its a wierd one! Ive woken up with feelings like that and dead arms and legs and convinced of other things but then just had to think that its the state of being half asleep half awake and the strange unusual tensing of my body which is at play.. nothing else..

Like when you feel your falling or jumping and you actually feel your body jump in the bed, I know its very different from feeling you have been touched, but still a very distictive feeling that we get while sleeping and is a little unsettling.

Dreams are very mind boggling! and so are our bodies while we are in them ~ if you watch a sleeping person they twitch and move, but we dont feel this while we are sleeping.
Maybe what happened to you is you felt your foot tense and move up off your bed while asleep in your dream then woke up suddenly because of this and then thought it was a hand trying to grab you. I really dont know...

Id say that no-one can really tell you what happened because they werent in the room with you, but all I can say, is try not to be scared or think about this too deeply, cleanse your room with sage or an incense that you like and feel comforted by and just try to relax while going to sleep now.. maybe try placing a few drops of Lavender oil on your pillow :)

Actually, I had something similar happend during some experimental meditation. i was laying on the floor and I felt as though I was being held down and something was touching my arms and legs. It took me about 5 minutes to force myself to a sitting position and the feelings didn't stop until I blew out the candles I had lit for the meditation.

Now youve brought back to me an experience I had while meditating (for Seidh actually) with a group ~ I felt a distinct tapping 'down below' and felt very uneasy and quite freaked out by it.. I just crossed my legs and put my hands crossed over my lap and it stopped.. very strange.. and although I have some suspicions of what it is I'll never really know.

I've had those experiences too. Even while falling asleep I tend to feel tapping or tickling sometimes. Sometimes when I'm half asleep I even think that there's a mouse in the bed or a snake on the floor! It isn't an uncommon experience at all :)

I agree with the other folks who have posted here.
