help for a loved one

Please send me some healing energy for my sister. She called me today just hysterical and said she felt like she was losing it. Her doc suggested she go into a mental hospital for some R&R. She lives 1000+ miles away from any family and her husband seems to have abandoned her. I feel so helpless and don't know what to do for her. Part of me wants to jump in the car and go "rescue" her, but I don't want to butt in. She's always been the "big sister" and so in control, but now I'm so afraid she'll do something stupid. Its odd to be thrust into opposite roles. What should I do?
