Wow, I can't believe my Katie is 12 years old today. eek 1 more year till a teenager, this is way too freaky. Just seems like yesterday she was toddling around & get into everything & now she rolls her eyes at me like I'm a moron & sighs so dramatically over the slightest things. Where'd my baby go?

Katie's no more just a little girl,
She's a young creature finding her way in the world.
Not quite a woman, but neither a child,
One moment peaceful - the next, running wild!
Reaching for the sky on her tiptoes,
May the God and Goddess guard her
Wherever she goes.

Just wait until she had that huge growth spurt they get early in puberty and she is tall enough to look you in the eye. My daughter is 13 and she is only two inches shorter than I am now :(

She's only a half size in smaller in shoes than I am & my militant pagan! You all would have just died if you had heard her tell her teacher how the xtians had stolen all the pagan holidays & made them thieir own to try to trick people into converting! She makes me cringe & proud all at the same time. LOL Damn, just wish she would have been born on St.Patty's day. She just screams Irish looking at her. :)
My pretty little maid, beautiful inside & out.

Oh morr, Katie out grew her goth boots. I thought we were going to have to have a funeral for them, she mourned them so. LOL
Thank you all for the kind words, Katie will be thrilled to read them all.

I know what you mean about being a militant pagan. My 4 year old used to sing the pledge of allegiance at her old school but instead of saying "One nation under God" in the loudest voice she can muster she says "one nation with the Goddess" LOL her very christian teacher at the time pulled me in to talk to me about it. I was like no I didnt know she had changed the words around but Im so proud of her for doing it.
