Please discuss why this / these are your fave version(s) of the particular card. What in the card speaks the most to you? How does it relate to the other #6 cards? Can you see the Lovers or Devil cards in the minors? The suits in the Majors? Does looking @ the cards in this way change your perspectives?

the 6's:
Swords- retreat. escape. travelling away from failure.
Wands- Going towards victory. comming to the end of a struggle.
Pentacles- coming together in support- generosity
Cups- coming together in inocense- childish feelings
the sixes make me think about the Goddess and God- about the energies and balance that they represent to me. the swords and wands have that expansive, Yang energy, while hte Cups and pentacles havea more insular, yin energy. this connects the 6's to the Lovers-
Lovers- unifaction of the self, allowing the reaching of the higher self and pourpose. coming together of opposites. light and shadow as one.
This thread is allowing me to understand the devil in another light- this is a card I haven't been able to draw yet, but I may now understand it enough.
The devil- lack of balance. being absorbed by pleasures or shadows. the splintered soul, unable to reach the higher self.
I'll try to draw some tonight, post pics soon.

Sixes—Harmony and Balance
Six of Wands—To the victor go the spoils. A triumphal return of the victor. The Querent must achieve recognition and will in this situation.
Six of Cups—Tis the moment of perfect harmony. All is well with the world, and it things are in perfect balance.
Six of Pentacles—This is a depiction of a wealthy man handing out money, to balance the scales. This is the card of balance of worldly possessions with that of the spiritual world. Bringing these aspects into harmony.
Six of Swords—This is about leaving the trouble behind, finding balance by leaving a particular spot. Finding a scientific or mathematical solution for a problem. The Ferryman could mean that you find an ally to help restore balance and harmony.
The Devil—I have always thought of the devil as being chained by some addiction or vice. It is also about wild abandon, and temptation. I see the chains on the man and woman as the chains that bind you to the material world and/or your addiction.
The Lovers—This is about equilibrium and recognition, as in finding that which completes your balance. It is about finding a love that is so necessary that you will give things up, if necessary, to have it. It may be a person, career, or even object. It is being in tune with this love, and needing it to fulfill your life.

Shatril, your description of the 6 of Swords made me think of the Ferryman, Charon. In order to cross the river you need to pay the Ferryman.
So, in order to leave the turmoil behind, you might need to "pay" for the passage away from it. Perhaps by some sacrifice or by simply letting go of the turmoil itself (which so many of us have a hard time doing!).
Thanks for that! I love it when things go "click" in my head! LOL

Glad I could help Lisa. I always call those third eye thumpers, cuz I always find myself slapping myself in the forhead when I have an enlightenment like that. Thanks for sharing that, cuz it is absolutely a good interpretation.

Better late then never, right? Using the Archeon Tarot.
Six of Swords shows a journey, one of intellect. Intellectual peace also.
Six of Cups shows hidden ideas, feelings and dreams, faded memories.
Six of Wands shows victory and success.
Six of Pentacles shows generosity that can lead to better prospects.
The Devil shows hidden desires, an invitation to access these desires, looking at your personal inhibitions with a critical eye. 'What are you waiting for, really?'
The Lovers shows the meeting between two forces to create something new and exciting.
This little study made me understand what the two Majors meant for me, for once. Thanks!
