I hate like heck to come back and ask again for help. But I just don't know what to do. I have had severe insomnia for a week now and am not sleeping at all at night. I doze from sheer exhaustion during the day. I called my doctor two days ago to inform him of this and to explain I could not go into the office as my family feared about my trying to do the stairs in my deprived state. He has chosen to ignor me. He has done this before and probably a reason I eneded up in hosp this last time. I am at my wits end. I am treying to help several people right now and take a class and this sleep issue is just damaging me and my abilities. My pc is the only thing keeping sane right now.

Please help me, I am becoming crazy and very afraid.

Thankyou.

*soothing, sleepy energies to you*
Is it possible for you to get a new doctor?

A different doctor would seem to be a good idea, a priority in fact.
Maybe put on some of your favourite soothing music and try to meditate.
Try to calm and slow your own thoughts before even thinking about trying to help other people. (Which would only add to your mind's present state of over busy-ness).
You are a wonderful kind and caring person but you are not Wonder Woman! You need the rest you are asking for.

Sending peaceful, calming energy like a little stream of pure water bubbling lazily through the trees, on a mossy, dappled green hillside....
Sleep well. :hugz:

Definitely find a new doctor!! Even someone else in the same practice has got to be better than the person you have now.

If you are into aromatherapy, try diffusing relaxing oils such as rose, hyacinth, neroli, lavender, geranium, clary sage, vetiver, frankincense, sandalwood, chamomile, cedarwood, jasmine, or ylang-ylang. I personally like a combination of geranium and vetiver, or cedarwood and neroli. If you have a partner, try to get him or her to give you a relaxing backrub before you try to sleep.

Peace, comfort, and a good night's sleep to you.. :hugz:

Lavender is my personal favorite when I can't sleep.
I ditto what everyone is saying about the doctor. Boot him to the curb!
Calm, peaceful energy on its way to you.

Calming and peaceful energies on their way to you.

Maybe try a warm bath before bed with sea salt. Also, lavender oil is very soothing and relaxing.

Try not to worry as it will only make the problem worse - easy to say I know!

Oh and definitely change your doctor!

Wishing you a peaceful and refreshing night

not sure how old you are, but if you're of age, a glass of red wine before bed can help you wind down. i do that every now and then when my insomnia gets bad. in the meantime, please find a new doctor.

sending calm, peaceful energy your way...

Thankyou again. :hugz: The doctor I had has been fired and I am in the process of getting an appt. with my old doc. She was kind and caring and I wish I had not changed, But that is life. I have some oils and one is lavender. So I am going to make a little pilow today and put it under my big pillow.

I wonder, was it stress over the appointment to see this doctor that caused the stress and insomnia? If so, changing doctors may be all it takes to sleep again.

A glass of wine with dinner or in the evening can help as someone already suggested. So can taking Melatonin supplements, they're safe enough we've even given them our then-8 year old granddaughter.

When I can't go to sleep for anything, I take a Benedryl. Those always put me to sleep. You don't want to do that for more than a couple of nights in a row, but that might be enough to reset your internal sleep clock.

I wonder how many people start having sleep problems when the government tells us to move our clocks forward an hour? I wish they would just pick one time and stick with it!

Hugs and sleepy vibes to you Pesha. :hugz:
