Hey all, just a quick question. My friends live in this house and it's haunted. In the beginning, it was fine, no harm done, sometimes they'd get a little mischeivous, but thats ok. Lately, though, things have been getting scarier for them, they hear babies/children crying, things go flying across the room (which could seriously hurt someone), and they're having problems sleeping now, because of all the noise at night. They're asking me to try to get rid of them... how would I go about doing that? I don't want to hurt them, I just want them to find another place to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with a simple cleansing ritual... salt & sage, etc... ask the spirits to move on... light a candle & tell them to 'go to the light'...

You couldn't pay me enough to try to get rid of them beyond cleansing thoroughly and asking them not to scare the people there anymore.

Myst, now you've gotten me scared! What should I look out for? Will they harm me? Is there any protection spell I should do for myself beforehand? I've obviously never done this before, so if you guys think I should wait, or not do it, let me know... but I would prefer to just get info so I can do it. I don't want to leave them there with that.. and the choice of moving isn't an option for them. I think it originates in the basement.. I really don't know why.. I just get a horrible feeling every time I go down there. It feels cold to me, and I feel scared, and the animals that live there won't go down there. I've heard some pretty scary stories even from my own friends who have been involved with trying to get rid of negative spirits. You see, spirits are everywhere. They are thought to be exactly the same as the person was when they were alive. *But* just like people, sometimes they get bitter and angry. Sometimes they don't like someone who moves in. Sometimes they don't like other people living in "their" house. I remember being confronted one night on the ouija board by a very very angry spirit. It was right after September 11th. *sigh*

It's the kind of thing you see on documentaries about haunted houses.

Anyway, if you want to try a very thorough cleansing/reiving and Rick's idea with the candle, it might work. You just couldn't pay me enough to do it in case that doesn't work :lol:
