Tea tree oil. that's all there is too it! if it is particularly stubborn, double aromatherapy with the oil applied to skin twice daily. All it takes is a wee dab, and before i apply it, i use pure witch hazel as a toner beforehand.

That is a wonderful cure for acne. However what most people think is acne is really one of many types of skin infections. You should always see a dermatologist to determine if what you have is acne before treating it.

You know what? I believe I read about tea tree oil on another thread here......So of course I tried it. And believe it or not, it worked!

Tea tree oil is wonderful but don't use it on your face neat. If you're going to use any herbal application to your face, always do a patch test first. Put a dab of it on the skin of the inner forearm. Put a bandaid on it for 24 hours. If you don't get any red itchy reaction, it should be ok to use. I mean, if you're putting the stuff on your face, don't chance it.

I've had EXTREMELY severe acne since I was about 8 or 9...the only thing I've EVER known to come any where near to working is a product called Ketsugo...It's shark bile ;) But I noticed differences within two weeks, and I've almost got clear skin now...it really is a miracle :hearteyes

:dis: I'm gonna have to go to my dr. to get mine checked out... I've tried all the stuff that's on the market (not perscription stuff though) and *nothing* works. :( *sighish*

I had it pretty bad back in grade 8. I tried everything but nothing seemed to work! Finally I tried acutain (s/p?) I cleared right up. My sister also used it and so did a good friend of mine.

Well, I think the actual product stuff might be synthesised, but that's what the original recipe was made of ;):p I seriously recommend Ketsugo to everyone (if you can find it), I've been to the dr & he couldn't do anything, and I tried all the shelf products, but I found this tucked away in a corner in a tiny independent drug store... worked a treat! :mmm:

Has anyone with oily skin had success with tea tree oil products? The last time I was shopping for facial products, I was looking at some with tea tree oil, but I have very oily skin so I'm always cautious about using anything with oil.

Tea tree oil didn't do a thing for me. Only thing that does is salicylic acid, and oil free everything.

Yup Yup! I have used tea tree oil and tea tree oil products and nothing happens. I need Triclosan and occasionally, antibiotics.
