Oh please. I thought this was an okay website for homeschoolers until I saw this. I won't even comment, you'll have to read some of it. :thumbsdow :fpatricks

Yes... because it's the *schools* fault that the parents aren't keeping their kids "holy"
FYI~ for those that don't like the public school system, don't use it.
Meh. I only read part of the site though, couldn't really find that patience to read through it all.
ETA: I know not all people can afford to *not* use the public school system. However, that doesn't make it the schools fault that kids are doing drugs, having sex, etc. ;)

The school system isnt perfect. Damn here in California (I dont know about other states) we dont even have music programs anymore. But statistically (sp?) speaking I should have been one of those kids. Not only did I go to a public school but I was the child of a single parent. OMG Im doomed!!! But in my school history I never had sex, never did drugs, and my drinking experience was limited to one time in high school. So I totally agree I think it has more to do with the parenting than with the school system, although it would be nice to fix it.

Government schools also propagate other pagan ideals, such as:
PAGAN CREED: FORNICATION AS A VIRTUE
*spews coffee*
I must have missed this creed, where is the list?

I don't know about any list, but a lot of people read the Charge of the Goddess without considering that one of the core tenets of the Wiccan religion is Personal Responsibility.
From the Charge:
Let My worship be in the
heart that rejoices, for behold,
all acts of love and pleasure
are My rituals.
If you ignore the tenet of Personal Responsibility, then that clearly means "screw your bunny brains out." :geez:

But it doesn't say:
all acts of love and pleasure of sex by unmarried individuals.
I'm not Wiccan, so am viewing what you've posted from the same.... uhhh similar, uneducated eye of the outsider. I do not interpret what you've posted as sexual, more from a point of worship is done with good and loving acts. Not good acts of loving. LOL

I didn't read much. I don't like waisting my time on religious propaganda and total untruths. Its just not worth it.

I really do appreciate that you are able to leave any prejudices behind when it comes to this topic, unfortunatly there are a lot of folks who are not able to do that. They assume the worst, that the religion is just an excuse to make like bunnies and have sex with everyone in the area. And even more unfortunately, there have been those who took advantage of that interpretation and did exactly that, giving all of us a reputation for unethical sexual acts in the name of the Goddess.

LOL! I needed the laugh today, thanks! Part of the reason I homeschool is the Christian-ness of public schools....I dont want them contaminating my children with silly ideas like sin and shame.

Wow! I swear if Christians spent as much time with their children as they do trying to vilify us, maybe their kids who go to public school wouldn't be entering...what did they call it?....the gates of hell.
Ha ha ha ha...silly Christians.

My husband says that if Christians want to pull their kids out of public school, that's fine by him. Less B.S. our kids will have to put up with.

GOLLY! They sure do make a super-duper case against public schools! I dont want my kids being taught to be against God and learn actual useful information not skewed by some backwards religious belief! BUT I CAN'T AFFORD A PROPER PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL! and Homeschooling can be sooo expensive and teach the same damnations! I wish I could find someplace that offers a huge selection of bargain-priced homeschool and educational resources and books with sales that support the site that just informed me so well of my educational follies and woes! WHAT? Eagles Nest Home and Christian Book Distributors can help me? The link is at the end of the page?! WOWZERS!!
That was the longest ad Ive ever read...religious super-spin at work...bleh!

Wow, I wish I had realised that school was pagan when I was there. I think that it would have made the whole experience more fun. Where was I when they taught us all those 'pagan' values of fornication and greed? :nyah:

I couldn't help myself...
In response to reading almost all of that "Information" I sent a response to the author's public response page... Seeing as I sent it to a public place that will more than likely never actually show it, I will share it with my friends here, if you do not mind...
Excuse me,
But the propaganda you are spewing forth is sadly poignant in showing the very small minded and Self Righteous kind of drivel that makes a number of Christian organizations seem to hold themselves in some kind of overglorified "greater than thou" light. I was always under the impression that righteousness was in God's hands, and that the meek would inherit the earth... not the faith with the biggest ego. Are YOU claiming to be the hand of God? Are YOU wanting people to believe that God speaks directly through you as though you were a prophet? I am sorry, but would that NOT be taking God in vain, and putting yourself at a level equal to his? Frankly, putting yourself above all others seems like vanity to me, and from what I understood, vanity was a sin.
To call public schools "pagan" is ludicrous. And to cite our forefathers as ignorant is even more ludicrous. The seperation of church and state is there for a good reason. It is to prevent children, who are wildly suseptable to radical ideas, from being brainwashed into a faith that may not suit them, thier families, or the traditional values their parents are instilling upon them. One thing you are correct about, it is up to the parents to teach their children faith and broaden their spiritual horizons. So why WOULD there be church services at the school? Why would they teach Creationism in a science class when Faith and Science are completely different schools of thought? As for witches being acceptable while good christian children are not allowed to show their faith in school... Sorry to burst your bubble on this one, but the reality of the situation would be that children wearing crosses around their necks are widely accepted, and are allowed their jewelry. But a child walking into school wearing a pentacle would be asked to remove an "offensive" symbol.
I do have to say, your short sightedness is offensive. I do not mean to cast stones, but all the same, maybe a stone upside the head will open your eyes to the stark reality of propaganda of ANY sort is still propeganda, and is harmful to the free will even YOU have to admit God gave each person. Your argument that schools are promoting the ideal that "man is God" is about as solid as your assumption that you are "speaking in God's place" and determining for others what his divine message is. I am appalled.
So, allow me to ask, and if your faith be true enough, you can explain this to me... Why fear the schools teaching science? Why fear the teaching of history, as in Greek mythology, or teaching our children what the world was like BEFORE christianity took the forefront? Why fear the idea that Geology and science can show a flood of epic proportions never took place? Why fear that the history according to the historians who actually wrote unbiased facts contradict the history as told by the Bible? Is it safer to teach children your propaganda from home where they can be sheltered from the truths that are out there? Or is it best to keep them safe from the lies of a demonic presence that has OBVIOUSLY possessed every principal in the union? I dont mean to completely disrespect your faith, or your views, I am just asking these pointed questions to show just how ludicrous you may actually sound, without knowingly realizing it.
If you are correct, though, and my children attending public schools turns them into little christian hating pagans, who burn bibles and find divinity in the forests and all of the creatures within, if it makes them understand the value of truth over the propaganda of the self righteous men and women who would shove their faiths down the throats of others, than BY GOD, I am thankful my tax dollars are being put to good use.
I would thank you for your time, but I am highly suspect that you would even bother actually responding or considering my post.
Brightest Blessings,
Brent Matson.

Absolutely! If I get that posted on their board, and they try more rhetoric and propaganda, I will have to add to my original rant. Will link it to concerned friends here as well, so we can all have our say to these machines of self righteous propeganda. Really erks me. I go about my business quietly, USUALLY... so get offended when ANY religion tries to demonize faith, and shove THEIR beliefs down someone else's throat....
*shrugs* Doubt I will hear back, but it WAS something I felt I had to say.
