Energy for my little sister.

I would be very, very thankful if those of you who can spare some energy would send some to my sister.

She's in a verbally abusive relationship right now and she does not seem to have the energy, confidence and strength to get out of it. We (as in her family) are trying to support her and help her the best we can, but the situation seems to be spiraling out of controle since my sister refuse to leave him and we're afraid the verbal abuse will turn physical soon.
There has been threats uttered about him beating her, and apparantly he has been close to doing it a few times.

So, any positive energy you can spare would be greatly needed, my sister is very depressed and void of any kind of energy right now.

Perhaps your sister refuses to leave because he has threatened her, her family, the children. Perhaps it is because she does not have the resources to get to a shelter. Abuse crosses all classes, all nationalities.
Please do not become angry with her or stop supporting her. If she knows that you are there, unconditionally, you may give her the courage to make that leap. So make sure she knows it.

Been there, done it too. I understand what she is going through, she has to go through the process, and she will know when the time is right and she will do it. Just keep being supportive no matter how many times it takes, each time is one step closer. She needs that support, and to know that you will all be behind her no matter what. I finally had to decide that my kids and I would be better off dead than to go through any more and I fully expected him to kill us for it. Yes, he DID try, don't think these guys are all talk, if not for my dad we would be dead now. Trust her, she is probably sorting options and trying to figure it all out. It breaks my heart every time I hear if this stuff, knowing they have to stay where they are until they know the time is right and can get out. If the family tries to talk her into anything she is not ready for, she could see them as not being supportive enough to trust, and make it all take longer, she will feel like they don't understand and so cannot take the situation seriously enough to be of help.
