I have found my path. *falls over and twitches* I know, now, with everything. I am a green witch. I also had a name change as well :p

Any tips and tricks for a newbie green witch?

The best piece of advice I think I can offer is to cross reference everything! Don't take one book or one author as an authority on anything herbal, whether it's for magical or (especially) medicinal purposes. Always look through at least four sources and if your intuition still tells you something else, listen to that, too. I've gotten to a place where I can listen to my intuition and the plant itself to tell me what kind of energy it can / will contribute, rather than having to look it up. It takes some time, but you'll get there (if you're not there already).

Hehe, thank you! I'll defintaly remember that. *nod nod* I'd like to start my own herb garden, out on my balconly. I've never really grown anything before...but for some reason, I was really drawn to the path of a green witch..

I'd like to start my own herb garden, out on my balconly. I've never really grown anything before...but for some reason, I was really drawn to the path of a green witch..

That's how I was when I first started walking down the path of green/kitchen witchery. I'd never grown anything or enjoyed myself in the kitchen at all, and suddenly, I found myself drawn to both! I had an urge to start growing herbs in pots, just to help green up this dingy apartment, and to make me feel important. Admit it, all of you, growing something from seeds makes you feel a little godlike!! :hahugh: Anyway, I then felt the urge to incorporate the greenery I was growing into our meals. Well, my fiance usually cooks, but I felt he just wasn't doing it right! So I did a bit of a takeover. It was very odd... I don't know whatever gave me the urges to do either action... but it's very rewarding once it happens, isn't it??
As for advice, I agree with Nitefall, read as much as possible by various authors and sources, and always cross-reference and take your own intuition into the mix as well! Do a lot of reading on these boards too; in here and in the Green Room; there's a lot of fun going on. Good luck!

I'm also new to this path and I hope that I will be most welcome as well. Just like Aina stated earlier, I would also like to have any advice or tips for someone who is fairly new to this path. :)

Welcome to all that are new to this path!!! I hope you find as much joy and fulfillment as I have, working with Nature herself. Just remember to find joy in your path, on top of the learning, the dedication and the hard work. Remember that at the end of the day, it should make you smile.
