Advice Needed!

My aunt has offered to "let me be a part of the wedding" by asking for me to cut and hand out cake at the reception.

Now my plan was to avoid relatives. Sure it sounds cruel but you don't know my family!

My mom accepted for me, bad habit of hers, so I've got to deal with it when I get there.

How can I get out of it? Nail fungus? Viral infection? Allergies? Bandaged hands? A lot of dark eyemakeup and black lipstick?

I'm dead serious. I've spent a lot of money and time making sure I'll be there for my cousins wedding because it's important for her family to be there and support her but I'm not meeting everyone and making chit chat and handing out punch and cake. She's trying to keep from hurting my feelings, like I really wanted a daffodil taffeta dress...:rolleyes:

I'm thinking allergies might work best.... if I could just find a cat...
