On my knees before you, one who shall only be named in my heart,
I ask for your guidance through this time of fasting. Please, lend me your strength and wisdom so that I may cleanse my spirit and this vessel that belongs to you.

I ask for your will and determination to be mine as I go forward on this journey. Allow me, please, to grow in my own wisdom and shed these things that hold me back.

I offer my thanks and my sacrifice as a token to your will. May it be done.

I ask for your strength and will to show me light in my darkness.

Please help me to stay on my chosen path, to know when to bend and when to stand strong.
