Today, just before school started, one of the students, a married father of 3 (and a Christian, but I don't hold it against him) announced that his older brother shot and killed himself on Monday. For my colleague, this brother was his right arm, and the only one in the world who had ever defended him against the world. I don't know all the details, and I don't know that I will ever know all the details, but there is something I do know; today I saw a man, whom I had always considered strong, whom I had always considered unshakable (and believe me, we tried), someone I respected, reduced to a child crying in my arms and asking me why. I was forced to watch someone be broken and that is a painful thing to watch.
What would I ask of you here who read this? First I would ask that you don't karma poke me, sry, that's just wrong....anyhow....I would ask that you think about this man, and include him in whatever rituals/prayers/ceremonies that you see fit. He needs strength right now to deal with this grief that life has handed him, his family needs him to be the strong one right now. I ask all of you who read this to offer him your strength.
Thanks
