I know that my path is my choice to find which to follow. But I know my great great grandfather was a Druid so maybe I could follow in his footsteps or try to find my own.... If that is the case how do I know when the 'right' path is for me. I have only touched the surface of finding my path but really want to look into it deeper and don't know how! Please help, thanks..

I guess, if it feels right, is the best thing i can suggest. It may take a lot of trying out various things, but just ask yourself, do you feel a sympathy with it, does it feel intuitively right for you? that's why i don't agree with people being brought up in any particular religion just because their family always were; I think if you're to really believe it, it has to feel right for you. And if you're thinking of choosing a Druid path, then does it feel right, the contact with nature, does that resonate with you? That's the most important thing, i think.

My great, great grandfather was a Master Mason, but that hasn't made me want to run out and become a Mason. Of my five siblings, one is a Presbyterian minister, one is a Baptist, and three are members of the United Church, although one of them is married to a member of the Greek Orthodox faith. And my ex-wife was a member of the United Church. None of that has prevented me from studying Wicca and Druidry, because the Deities who spoke to me, even in childhood, were the true Gods and Goddesses of Earth and Sky, rather than people's intellectual concepts of Deity.

Since you've joined this forum, Sketch, I assume that spirituality, in general, is important to you. IMO, the important question to ask yourself is this: what spiritual path speaks to you? Which Deities, if any, have taken a personal interest in your life? Or do you feel drawn to some "spritual but not Deistic" path, such as Zen? IMO, the answer to such questions is always in our own heart, not in the expectations of others.

I think that once we understand who we are in a spiritual sense (which can be a lengthy process for some people), it's unusual for a person's overall spiritual orientation to change drastically, although that can happen. But I think it's quite normal for the manner in which someone chooses to express their spirituality to change during the different stages of their life.

I was a christian then i became a sort of demon worshiping cultist on my own, then i became a buddhist, now i am finally trying to find my own path in the roots of where i came from. no one ever said it was easy to find a path. you just have to go with what your heart says. i thought, "hey why have i studied on every other religion in the world but none pretaining to my own background?"
with that thought i chose to study celtic peganism and here i am trying to get answers for myself about things. just follow what you think is right, not what others expect of you.

If that is the case how do I know when the 'right' path is for me.
When you have absolutely no need or interest to ask this question. :)

Follow your own path.

It always was and always will be your own path.
