:rant: Got a new set of Housewives Tarot, and the darn major arcana cards are significantly larger than the other cards. Grrrrrrrr. Dare ya to get an unbiased reading with those puppies.

Called the makers of the cards, and they are gonna send me a deck that isn't defective. That will be good. They are so darn cute, I wanted to try them.

I love the deck, and need to make the time to try out the recipes.

I have been messing with the cards that I have, trying to ignore the obvious size difference. They are really a lot of fun, funny, yet inspiring in so many ways. I haven't considered trying the recipes, but think I may now that you mention it.

I have done a couple of one card draws, with the spread out in a pile in front of me so the size difference wasn't apparent. They actually were quite good. I like how they read. They were helpful, but not overly easy to interpret. I think I will like them for spreads also, but, well, that size difference is annoying, can wait for the new ones.

OK well I got a new deck from the publisher. The cards are all the same size, yipeeee. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it. LOL :rollingla This weekend I'm going to play with them and see how they feel.

And just think ... if you get a papercutter and the right size corner cutter, you'll have a spare deck.

ok call me snarky but, I really have a hard time reading with it. I traded off my forst deck, then just about 2 weeks ago, I had to buy it again because I went home to visit family and they always hit me up for readings and *shiver* I forgot my deck. My readings were not as clear as usual, and I think it's because of the silliness on the cards..LOL...I think the deck is really cute, but I cannot get serious readings from it *sigh*

I haven't really tried any readings with it. I think I've been collecting for too long and not using all of the cards that I have.

I do love this deck, though. It is just as much fun as all of Anne Taintor's products: www.annetaintor.com (http://www.annetaintor.com) and those are SO much fun.

Rhiamon = snarky ;)

OMG I have a picture of myself that looks like that woman at the bottom of that homepage. :rollingla

snarky is a good word. I'm still getting used to the cards, however, I'm starting to think that Rhiamon may be right, they are just tooooo Cutesy

Isn't it? :p

I've been getting readings from it. It's so funny. I have to say though, I'd have hated to have lived in that world/those times. I'd have jumped the rails for 'bohemia' for sure. :lol:

Nah! we had a great time. Kids could play outside without worrying about psychos, we ran and played all day long outside. We were pissed if we had to come in. We ate food that wasn't poisoning us, and we were healthy dispite what the doctors said. Half the problems we have are thanks to the inovations of science gone wild. It was a nice time to live and grow up.

I'm sure there were positive aspects but I'm a liberal minded, progressive woman and it would not be the place for me. :hahugh:

As far as nothing poisoning people back then, check out this vintage (real) advert.:

Ok ya got me on the advert. There were somethings with long term health effects that we didn't know about for sure. However, there are far more items that are bad for your health that your government approves as safe, yet in the long run a detrimental to your health.

There were somethings. I was a child in the times on those cards, and as a young adult was part of the women's liberation movement in a big way. They were exciting times, and I didn't have to put up with some of the crap that other women did as I worked for a company out of CA. The pay was absolutely astonishing for a woman, and in an engineering field at that.
