The sky is dark and cloudy and my daughter asked why it was getting dark, I explained that it was going to rain soon, and we might even have thunder and lightning, she got scared, so I sang her rain and thunder songs, she started pounding out a beat well as a much of a beat that a three uyear old can muster, and we started singing and dancing and for just a moment she was pounding out thunder crashes and I felt like a tree stretching out my branches as tghe rain started falling on me and all of a sudden I felt this surge of joy rushing through me, and it was a beautiful and fun expereince for both of us. Just thought I'd shared that.

That is beautiful.
I love thunder storms.
I am looking forward for this baby to come already, I can't wait to experience with him/her what you got to experience with your daughter!

Nowadays I have people hugging me and patting my belly almost every day.
Everyone is ""Oooo-ing"" and ""Ahhh-ing!"" when they see my belly LOL its so funny!
:hugz: back!
Yay to mommies!

What a lovely experience! It's always a wonderful feeling when you can share your faith with your children. I still remember the first time Aiden (my son, he's 6) and I sat outside to feel the hum of Earth beneath our feet. When he first "heard" the spirit of the land calling to him.
It sounds absolutely magical to experience a thunderstorm in such a way! We don't get a lot of good storms here these days, but maybe someday...
*sighs* I'm getting sentimental!

I actually remember when I was little I use to actually sit and talk with the thunder and lightning and always loved it. It was nice and I hope when I have a child that I will get to have a simular experience with them as you did.

This is great! I am so happy you are teaching her to embrace and celebrate a storm instead of fearing it!

Wow that sounds awesome. I don't have a child, but someday I hope to and I hope I can connect with my little one in a similar way. What an inspiring post, thanks for sharing. :D
