Blessings..
When you first started performing spells and such how long did it take for you to see results.. and as you have progressed have your results gotten quicker, stronger.. were you discouraged in the beginning thinking you had no abilities at all..

I have always seen results since the first spell I can remember actually. However, I really took my time and waited before doing my first spell until I was more confident in my knowledge about what I was doing. Depending on what I'm doing and other factors, like my own perspective, the time it actually takes for me to see the results, varies.

I've always gotten results, but the time frame depends entirely on the spell itself. For example...

About 4 years ago, I cast what I call THE BIG ONE. I spent days working on writing it and then spent 3 hours to cast it. I wanted a big house, a good job, a nice car, a family, prosperity, etc... You get the idea, right? THE BIG ONE.

The day after I cast that spell, I lost my job. Then about a week later I broke my ankle and couldn't even leave my apartment for several months. I thought for sure that the spell had backfired.

My savings dried up rapidly, and eventually I was evicted from my apartment. I had to live with my brother for a month until the ankle finished healing and I could go out and look for work again.

That's when my sister came up from DC and brought me back here with her. She took care of me until I could find work.

It's now 4 years later, and I've got a big house, a good job, a nice car, a family, prosperity, and everything else that I cast for, but it certainly didn't manifest itself the way that I'd planned. I had needed to leave where I was in order to get the things I wanted, but didn't know it.

Then again, once I moved here, I cast a very brief spell to attract my perfect woman to me. As I extinguished the final candle on my altar, my cell phone rang, and my darling Tina asked me if I'd like to come over for dinner sometime so we could get to know each other better. That one got immediate results.

I hope this helps...

This is a good point. It depends what you are going to cast spells for. If you are just fulfilling a wishlist then you might not get the results as directly as you thought, whereas if you are humbly asking for help perhaps this will give a quicker result?

I've always had pretty quick results. I think the longest I ever had to wait is 3 months. But I tend not ask for a lot, I pretty much tend to cast for what I've tried to do myself and it hasn't worked, so I want help. I always try to think of how I can do it without casting, but I think it adds to the spell the extra energy that it needs to get immediate results.

it really just depends on the spell. a bigger spell that will have a significant effect on your life might take longer (as others have suggested). i've had spells manifest within a few hours, a few days, or a few months.

the best thing to do, in my experience, is to put the spell out of your mind for a while--to not dwell on it and just have faith that it will manifest in it's own time... if i've learned anything it's that impatience is not wise when dealing with magick :)

What about when it comes to healing..
If you cast for healing because time is an issue is that inherent in the spell.. or do you specify that the healing needs to be now or trust that the Gods know what you are asking and understand the time frame..
am I making sense...

healing spells are some of the ones that are pretty much instantaneous when i send em out.

You are making sense. This depends for me. It depends on what type of healing spell and energy I'm doing and sending.

When I do a full-on healing ritual, I organize it for about a month. My mind is filled with those energies. When the ritual comes around I let the person know when I will be doing the ritual and that they should also be putting their own personal energies towards it. If it's a condition that has been going on for quite some time, I never assume that one spell is going to fix everything. I also keep in mind that the person may have some serious bad habits that might be preventing them from healing and that will be working against me.I take many things into consideration, but that is, like I said, generally for ailments that are chronic and physical and mental bad habits are in place.

I will sometimes do more than one ritual. I have always heard that they worked right away, but it could completely be the ideas and information, that I have put into the person's head before actually doing the ritual. To me, that is still sending them healing energy, making them aware of things that they might not know about their condition and sending a caring and understanding attitude in their direction.

I make sure I take a completely holistic approach to healing like that, by sending information, before doing the actual ritual, about diet change, how to change their thinking to become more positive in order to aid in healing, herbs that might help their condition, whether I feel they should visit a doctor etc... Usually before I even do the ritual, I have planted the seed of healing. The ritual is the rush of energy that is being sent to them in the end of their mental and physical preparation. I also send them something physical that they can carry around with them (after the ritual), and I make one for myself to carry around with me. I think healing starts in the mind of the person who needs the healing and sometimes all they need is the seed of confidence planted that they are in more control of their bodies than they believe.

As far as sending healing energies quickly, the person always seems to know that they have received the energy and I feel as though I have sent it and nothing more is ever discussed aside from a thank you.

Perhaps not what you were wanting to know, but that's my experience with healing and the time factor.

I agree, it depends on the spell. I've had some results very quickly, and some that took longer to reach their full effect.

As far as healing spells, again it depends on what the condition is that you're trying to heal. Generally the healing beings as soon I begin sending energy, but I leave it up to the person's body how long it takes to complete. When I broke/dislocated/torn the tendon in one of my fingers and had surgery to insert a small metal rod inside the finger (ick) I didn't want it to heal too quickly or completely so that the rod would become a permanent part of my finger, eh. ;)

depends on what I cast for, like when my cousin was going into surgery, I had this strong urgency to kleep him safe because it was a severe surgery for a little boy. So it worked out and he recovered better then ever, and he still has the ability to play the sports that he loves so much.

It's been so long since I did a "spell" that I have no idea about timing, strength, etc.

So far as prayer and energy work go, it seems to depend on the environment - days to weeks seems to be the regular time period.

Sounds awesome Paul (well the end results anyway) lol. Glad "THE BIG ONE" worked for you :boing:

You know I think sometimes if a spell won't work no matter what you try it could be the Gods telling you that you shouldn't be trying for that with magick or maybe at all. That may sound unfair but they are always looking out for us like parents.

Try the spell from a different angle. Be creative, and don't forget that asking for a specific Deity to help in connection with the correct correspondents, like moon phase, herbs, days and so on will help.

I've been doing little candle spells and the like every now and again for a while, but never really saw any results. The day before yesterday I did a small spell w/ incense concerning job issues, and yesterday I got a call for the perfect job! It was that quick! And I did another for a relationship issue, and the same thing (I read Dragon's Blood powder really adds 'oomph' and I put some in both...I really think it made the difference). I'm stunned. *L*

I think three months is the longest I've had to wait for a spell to do it's thing.

I don't think you can put a timeframe on spells. I try my best when I do spellwork, but never think of time at all. Some spells showed results very quickly, some months later. I believe if you are sincere in your heart, or do your very best in putting the spell together that you have an excellent chance in it manifesting.
