Learning the Tarot

I've been a tarot reader for quite a while now but only recentally have the spirits gotten involved with teaching me to read my cards correctally. I'm having a problem learning the basics of the cards and how to connect them. I was first told that I was relying to much on my book and not looking at what was actually there.. after putting the book down my readings haven't been wrong but it's taken me a long time to connect the cards. I was than told that now I'm just in the need of basic knowledge about the suits and their meanings. I've been looking and just want to know what you guys can tell me about the suits meanings and such. The deck I own is the Mythic Tarot.

Yep, LisaT4P usually talks about the numbers and the suits. I know there is a Dorothy Morrison--Everyday tarot book that does a great job of explaining the suits and numbers.

I find that the more I study about the tarot, the more the cards talk to me when I read them. So study isn't a bad thing, but your guide was right about needing to look at the cards, and you will see a story.

Also, consider signing up @ TarotClass.com. AR is a great teacher and even those who have been reading for a while can learn alot, I know I did! :)

Alright I looked at that site.. and classes don't start till September but I still registered and will take them. by than I'll be moved I hope to my new home in Las Vegas and will be able to set up my alter and all my stuff as at the moment I can't.. *sighs* such is life.
