I just put 3 pieces of salt on my canker sore. OUCH! Does anyone know any less painful ways of getting rid of Cankor Sores? I have heard of Ear wax...

(I know this may be better suited for Healthy Pagan, but since Just Talk gets more visitors and I am in really bad pain, I would like a quicker answer. If you have a problem with this then PM me and we can work it out:))

My sister takes over the counter amino acid supplements. She took them for a couple of canker sore "seasons" and hasn't had one since. I believe the specific acid is called Lysine or something like that.

If you want a MORE painful way, I also had a friend who would rub a match head on his. It'd be gone the next day. :woah:

cloves, or clove oil, also works well to numb the area.

Ear wax??! Actually, that makes sense. Ear wax does contain natural antiseptic & antiviral properties.

I would suggest swishing your mouth with warm salt water, rather than rubbing the salt directly on the sore. Did any of these suggestions help, Mist?

OH YES! It feels so much better, the night It hurt the worst I put 3 pieces of straight salt on it. That hurt like a @$#%! but it feels better now!:)

Now the only thing I have to deal with is my possible mono:sick: If not that, then really bad sicknes:(
