I'm moving this to Divination, where dreams are occasionally interpreted...

How about a more in depth explanation of the dream and what lead up to this?

I go to sleep and dream it and thats all I can remember of the dream cuz I usualy cant even remember what I dream but this one I can remember only a little bit but there is one more thing there were 4 people (cant remember who) and I was supose to be taken somewere to be shot (by me own will it seemed but I did not want to go) well it ends up while in a gas station getting gas one of the 4 people came to the window and asked for me to roll it down (I was in a car) anyway I rolled it down and he shot me thro the left side of my head. But the thing is I did not die I could fell the bullit go thro my head and I could fell death and all I could see was white mixed with gray. Thats all I can remember. Well needless to say I think my dream was tryin to tell me something and I am gettin mad cuz I dont know what.

Bah! Freud has nothing to say on this.
When interpreting dreams, I pay very close attention to both the details the dreamer divulges and the frequency or prominence of each detail. You mentioned several times what side of the head you were shot on. What is the significance of that? The left side of the brain controls the right side of your body and is associated with logic, mathematics, order, etc.
Your dream also involves a journey with obstacles (need to stop for gas.)
These are just some random things to throw out. Before I say anything else, do you have some tests coming up or perhaps some time of journey or transition (physical or mental/emotional)?
AND
You said you were shot but you didn't die, but then you said you saw white mixed with gray. How are you sure that you weren't experiencing death. I need a tad bit more information.
I would suggest you relax and meditate on the objects and themes of your dream (and this goes for any dream). Try some free association and see what you come up with. Dream analysis is a process and we can only help you figure it out. There isn't a 1:1 correspondence between an event and an interpretation because symbols mean something different to each person.
I hope that helps a little. :)

Well, being shot in the head but then living could be a sort of rebirth or transformation. Is it possible you are feeling anxious about your trip to Kentucky? Perhaps their is some sort of change your trip might bring about that you fear? Just some more thoughts.

I agree with Mithrea's interpretation, and it is difficult to interpret dreams without knowing all of the symbols and details. Since only the detail of being shot and living is the one that you remember and upsets you, I'd like to throw in that maybe you are now or are worried about going through something in your life in an impaired condition. Something may be coming up that you don't feel ready for. Or, you may be worried about a stressful event coming up, and this could be a message from your guides that you will get through it and it will be all right. In other words, "you'll live."

If we could dream in words then we would have a fair understanding of what is goin' on... But unfortunatley we don't!
We see images and we 'feel' emotions...
How did you feel...
What things made you feel this way...
And how do these emotions relate to your day to day...
Dreams can also occur with meaning to an anniversary...
This dream may relate to an event that is landmark to how you 'felt'(maybe a year ago or even two), and how you have grown today...
Try thinking back...
Emotions are the key to dreams!

Good advice Karma :)
I also agree with Mithrea and Freyja about the living through it message in your dream ~ it sounds like there is something playing on your mind, and the dream said you will get through it, you have the strength.
Has this been playing on your mind allot ~ I just thought that your name is kind of relevant to your dream?

The subject matter and gloomy colors in your dream sound sad. Are you having any stress in your life that may trigger this kind of dream? I have found out that during stressful periods, my dreams have been more disturbing. I think that it is a positive sign that you lived in the dream, a sign that you can cope through a troublesome situation if you are having one.

I used to be really crap at remembering dreams, a friend of mine told me to get a glass of water before I would go to sleep drink half of it while thinking (I have to translate this because its in dutch and it makes more sense in dutch) By drinking half of this glass and half in tomorrow I will make sure to remember my dreams in morning. In dutch it rhymes so it makes more sense than but it really did work for me. I now try to get up 15 minutes earlier so I have time to write the dream down.
Hope this will help in the future

Sounds like you died man. I had a similar dream - I didn't realize I was dead for awhile, but if you saw white mixed with gray and you 'felt death' then you died but didn't realize it. Death is a pretty foreign event for most of us and we probably fear we won't recognize it (like those ghosts that don't know they're dead).
Usually if I die in my dreams it's about my spirituality - in the first one which I mentioned I went to purgatory to await going to Heaven, in the second I went to Heaven and stood before God and was judged. Both times I was Pagan; subconsciously questioning my beliefs.
Even the bit about how you knew you would be shot by your own will but then resisted - death is the same way. We all know it will come and that it has to but when it does we are often still afraid.
My thought is if it's none one of these things people have already suggested maybe think about how death fits into your spirituality.
