Okay i see that there are serveral definations for the westeren dragons, but what really questions me is " are the meat eaters or do they eat fruits and vegies.?" What is going on about that dragons are mean, what is that asposed to mean, arent they nice and wonderful to have as afriend? a personal question to anyone who is reading this, but do you feel like you could fly but could not, you felt like you did powerful magic but did not in this life time? i sure do and i do not know what that means. any suggestins out there?:lookwhats

Have you ever felt like a dream was real to find out that it was a dream??
I'm not too sure I understand the question in your poll, but I think you're asking if we've ever had a dream so vivid that upon waking we couldn't be sure it hadn't really happened, yes?
If that's what you meant, then yes I have, once or twice.
Now, what that poll has to do with your post about dragons I'm still trying to figure out...

FIRST:
I have moved this thread from Magic and Riuals, to this forum, as I believe that it is more appropriate here.
Now then...
I was going to ask essentially the same question, although not as politely.
Just what in the sam hell does having a dream within a dream, just to wake up and find out that the dream you were having was actually a dream within a dream, although you dreamed that you were having a dream, and just WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH DRAGONS????

I'm sorry. This post makes no sense. I wish I could help you, but I have no idea what you are trying to say. I'm sorry.

what i meant was, did you ever have a dream to find out later in the future, that dream you had in the past was actually real. like fortune telling in your sleep. and for the dragons point of view, do you think that they can tell you were they hide or something? i had a dream and found that i was in the exact situation i was in that particular dream and i knew what that person was going to say before they even said it. it was very weird, it scared me so much i modified what was to happen and it changed. so could it be the same with dragons? so sorry if i confused you all.

Well, I'm having a tough time trying to sort your message out completely, but let me give it a shot by just looking at it line by line.
Are Dragons meat eaters? That depends on which Dragon you meet (or meat as the case may be). Dragons can eat whatever they choose to eat - I'm not aware of any rules in that regard.
Are Dragons mean? Again, that depends. If a Dragon is your friend, the Dragon will be nice to you as long as you don't cross any lines. If the Dragon is not your friend, I wouldn't expect warm hugs or tearful goodbyes. If you offend a Dragon, or attack the friend of a Dragon then you should expect the very worst.
The Dragon's bad rap in Western culture, IMHO, comes from the metaphorical use of the Dragon to represent evil. Eastern Dragons, OTOH, are symbols of luck and fortune. I personally see those as two sides of the same coin.
As to the end of your message, I assume that has something to do with the poll you created? Did you dream you were a Dragon or perhaps dream you flew with a Dragon? Do you sense untapped power within yourself? If you could explain a little more I could try to give you an answer there as well.
Namaste,
Carl

You are speaking of Déjà vu, from what I understand. You dreamt of something before it happened. Or, not déjà vu, you dreamt of something that you believed happened in your past. Dreams are all messages some that speak of the future, present or past that are made up of the conscious, unconscious or subconscious.
As regards to Dragons, there are chaotic, dark, light dragons, elemental dragons. You have to be careful with which you want to make a connection. Once you make that connection you must take that relationship seriously and respect it, it’s not a relationship based on phases. Now if the dragon/s have come to you through dreams they have a message for you. Perhaps they are telling you have untapped power and would like to help you. But, what was the nature of the dream and have you been trying to contact them? If you have and are a beginner I strongly suggest you do some reading before tapping into something you do not understand.

OK, Honey...
I'm still a wee bit confused , but a lot of it is just the way you write is all, not your idea or your thoughts, for I really do have an idea as to what you are trying to get across.
Now as far as the dreams go, it sounds like what you are having, is what is known as a prophetic dream. These are a lot more common than people realize.
Which brings us to... part clarifying, and part "back to square one".
That makes about as much sense as your first question that you brought up. ;)
As many experiences that we have, we have called such experiences as deja-vu.
Did you stop to think that perhaps you possibly dreamed this experience sometime in the past?
Some equate these experiences to past life experiences. Now for one, I am VERY much a past life regression believer. I don't know what your beliefs are on the subject, but I can tell you first hand that I have lierally had first hand experiences with such events, including vivid dremaing that has explained many things, from a rather exotic birthmark, to a waking experience where one moment I'm in the bathroom, looking in the mirror, and the next, I'm crumpled down on the floor, wailing....I won't get into the details unless asked to in an email or PM.
But in my opinion, these deja~vu experiences can be also explained through lucid dreaming as well.
I'm curious, what is your opinion on this?
And also, please, I must insist that you consider your words carefully, and the structure in what you are about to put them in... therefore it will make for much easier reading, and perhaps we can come to a better conclusion of what you are asking. I really do believe you are searching for an answer, which is why I am trying to help you as best as I can. Together, I think we can come up with one. :hugz:
-EDIT-
Also, upon reading above, I highly recommend you take Jadewynd's advice as well, especially the last 3rd of it. Those are very wise words.

um.. ~Owl~ (http://www.mysticwicks.com/member.php?u=23827) vbmenu_register("postmenu_3071664", true); i know this does seem crazy but i only had a deja~vu once in my life, but this was eerily creepy as i told you before. for example: people feel pain, heat, and smell things when they are awake: in their dreams they feel nonthing and or smell nonthing "that i know of." it is hard to explian actually; it was like i was a bystander in the dream watching myself do certain tasks, certain small things happens like falling leaves and cracking branches, and ect. with hearing. but when i was awake on the day it actually happened "normally a day to a week time span" i felt like i was obligated to do a certain task with any one telling me to do that certain task. i notice the certain things i saw in my dream happen at the precise moment it happened. when i notice these kind of things i go into the flight response. "the scientific term for the fight or flight reactions when in a scared state or in danger of something". i cannot describe the whole thing, it went by so fast. it is about 4 years since i had this kind of dream "my last one anyway":ballonsmi , so it is really hard to expain, i will try to keep you all posted as best as i can.

ok are these some of your questions?
1) do people, have dreams, that later come true?
2) if others have dreams that also, happen/come true later, have they been able to change the ending?
3) if you have a dream about a dragon, and it shows you where it hides; can you then find that dragon?
4) what do people believe that dragons eat?
5) do people think that dragons are mean?
6) are dragons friendly and nice?
7) has anyone ever had a dream that seemed so real, that when they woke up it was hard to know if it was a dream, or a memory?
Now if any of those are your questions, here is my suggestion -- break them down inot different posts; in the places they belong.
For example when someone has a dream and they want to know what people think it means, that goes in the dream interp sub-forum.
When people have questions about dream in general it goes here in dreams and divination.
When people want to talk about dragons that goes in Magical Creatures and familiars (in the Magic and Rituals area).
Does any of that help you?

no reason to be sorry, everyone gets to be new at one point!
ok so now we DO have a good list of questions for folks to answer for you!
here are some of my personal answers
1) do people, have dreams, that later come true?
i do, as do many other people, so YES
2) if others have dreams that also, happen/come true later, have they been able to change the ending?
me personally i have not been able to change the outcome, BUT i have been able to change my response
3) if you have a dream about a dragon, and it shows you where it hides; can you then find that dragon?
i think you want to spend some time learning about astral travel, and how that differs from dreams
4) what do people believe that dragons eat?
people have many different beliefs, and some believe different types eat different things
5) do people think that dragons are mean?
well some people think i am mean LOL, and some cant imagine i am mean --- seems to me that is all in perspective
6) are dragons friendly and nice?
see response to #5
7) has anyone ever had a dream that seemed so real, that when they woke up it was hard to know if it was a dream, or a memory?
yes that happens to me, and yes that happens to many other people too

okay, now about dragons. if they are so smart, powerful, and cunning, why could they not rule us? i mean if they have such a talent with magic, and could bend the rules of physics, why didn't they use us as their slaves for little bidding they had? i am not sure about everyone else here but i can see both sides quite convincingly. but this is bothering me. i can see that the dragons could be somewhat defensless in the medieval times but why not today, in the real world? another thing though, is it because of us that we forced them into the astral planes. due to the fact that we have no imigination or creativity of any sort so the dragons could no longer live on this plane? any suggestions and or answers would be nice!!!:ballonsmi :santasmil

I would honestly have to question whether or not dragons would WANT to rule us. personally (and I'm still not 100% sure I believe in dragons at all), if they do exist on some alternate plane, then I would think they went there of their own free will. perhaps it's easier for them to observe humans from a safe distance than it is to do so in the same world as us. if the legends of knights slaying dragons are any indication, it would seem they weren't exactly the most welcome creatures in the world.

i see your point but i must argue, i read that some dragons had negative and positive energies. but some do take a neutral side though. sure some dragons may want revenge on something that someone took from them personally or physically, but as i see it dragons could be both dangerous and gentle creatures. :viking:

If a dragon wanted to rule me, i'd kick em in the snout! Just kidding!!!
I'm unsure why dragons would want to rule us. We've never done much to hurt them, at all really...

for dragons to exist on the physical plane, "that i read" we need to be more creative> so what does that mean exactly? oh another thing, how did the dragons become so smart? i mean do they see their past lives in their childhood or do they get taught to read books and learn from their "teachers" to get really smart?? :boing:why coldn't we make a pact of peace?

It means you will remember how to do such magics soon

XD same here
and eating meet doesn't make you mean or evil, and I would assume they do eat meet (well thet do but as an example...) because of the way there teeth are formed, they can eat vegetables but their diet would be mostly meat based
however I do agree that dragons are misunderstood, this happened when certain religious authorities of Christianity where trying to convert Pagans, in which the Dragon was then associated, by them, as a connection with the devil, and sadly to this day, Dragons are depicted as sinister creatures.
