killerDream posted a dream to be interpreted and it made me think of a dream I've been having for several years. I thought I would post it and see if anyone has any thoughts.
Just as I fall asleep, sometimes I'm just dozing, I feel like my hands are bound behind my back and I'm walking at a very fast pace.
Then suddenly, I'm watching myself and there are several people walking ahead of me and one pretty close in front of me. They all have their hands bound too. I'm sort of high up on this wooded hill and it's morning and the sun is coming up behind the hill very bright. I'm dressed in black and dark dark red. My hair is black and I sort of look all goth. My skin is really pale, I have dark red lipstick on and my hair is black. (This is really strange too because I have red hair and I never wear makeup and dress very casually).
Then, I'm not watching myself, I'm experiencing it. I'm still walking fast and I trip and fall on my knees. Something hits me on the back of the head. Someone yells at me but I can't hear them clearly or see them. I only know they they are telling me to keep going. I try to get up but fall on my face because I suddenly realize that I'm also wearing a black cape with a red satin interior and that's what I tripped on the second time. I get to my knees again and someone's foot hits me hard on the side of my head. That's where it stops everytime and I think it stops because the person has broken my neck and killed me.
I've tried writing it down and seeking out what the symbols mean to me and meditating on the themes. I've tried painting the scene and the only thing I can come up with is that the "goth" stuff is my brain's way of depicting the witchy part of me. Other than that, nothing seems to unlock.
Now here's a theory. Either this dream is a really complex, difficult message or it's a memory. I heard Sylvia Browne once tell an audience (please don't let my mentioning of her change the theme of this thread ;) ) that a recurring dream, especially when it occurs as you are falling asleep and is about death, is probably actually a memory of your past death. Apparently people keep thinking this type of dream was a premonition of their own.
What do you think? Do you have any insight about my dream? What about the memory theory?
