I've heard a certain buzz about a five planet alighnment with the moon. I'm not sure of the details yet....but does anyone know anything about this, or what it will imply astrologically?

Im not sure but I think it might be:
Sun in Taurus
Merc in Taurus
Venus in Taurus
Mars in Gemini
Saturn in Gemini

Im interested in this myself, I heard about it in CNN.

My grandfather mentioned to me when I went home for the weekend, he heard about it being connected with the threats going on with the New England region's banks. So I ran a transit chart just to see where the planets were...didn't really seem that spectacular to me, just a bunch of planets in a row, not even any strong conjunctions. Until you compare it to my natal...it's activating about a fourth of my chart! The sun is with sun, but that's to be expected since it's so close to my birthday (19th). I also had Venus conjunct Venus and Jupiter with Jupiter, and Moon with Mars! My houses from 10 to 2 are all "covered" by this, but I haven't really notced anything out of the ordinary...if there are any affects from it, it'll probably be on a personal level with those that have strong connections to these placements. :)

Oh almost forgot...the Moon was all the way down in Leo, so it was squaring Taurus sun, but none of the other planets really had any strong moon connections...(not sure of the outer 3... Ura, Nep,Plu...they were all on the other side:lol:)

Venus, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter are all aligned and appear to be rallying to the defense of Saturn which is currently forming a sharp and difficult opposition to Pluto, an aspect that has been rocking the planet since last year.

The planets for the next two months are difficult and it has been no secret among the astrological community that this was going to be a transformative year. These intense planetary activity started August 2001 and are strongly aspected by the Pluto-Saturn oppositions which will happen the third time in May.

On the day of the May 26th eclipse, Mars will trine Uranus and hence really has the explosive energy moving. It should be quite a month as the point of Uranus is always to blow away the old forms so new ones can arise.

Any predictions of what form this might take, Litha?

I cannot quote the authors, but I will share with you some of what astrologers today see:

The Mars/Uranus trine and May 2002 eclipse will be quite explosive. Harsh though it may appear from our human scale, horror -- massive horror -- may be the only thing that makes those folks in the middle east sit up and take notice.

When Pluto went direct on August 24, 2001, it was at 12
Sagittarius and transiting Saturn was at 14 Gemini.

On the fateful day, September 11, 2001, transiting Saturn was
2 degrees past Pluto at 14 Gemini, with Pluto at 12 Sagittarius,
showing us that you don't need an exact aspect for it to kick off and blow up, literally, in our faces.

On October 30, 2001 Saturn is at 13 Gemini in direct opposition to Pluto 13 Sagittarius. Also note, that All Hollows Eve....the day that the dead are honored....Halloween in this country, is October 31, 2001. It was not a good time to be out in public. People felt they should not be out and about in crowded places of any kind ...whether it is malls, theaters, sporting events or whatever. They stayed home, stayed safe. Stayed alert.

Saturn, which is retrograde, held that awful tension from October 30 through November 6th at the 13th degree. 13? It is a "4" numerically speaking, and that means something will definitely manifest from this meeting of these two, once again. More terrorist attacks, more than likely, on a global scale. A small yield nuclear attack could occur. Why? Because the atom bomb is ruled by Pluto. All things "nuclear" are ruled by Pluto. And whether we like it or not, we must consider this threat now.

May 22, 2002 through May 29, 2002, is the LAST time (at least
for 14 years) that Saturn and Pluto will oppose one another, the
third time. Warring will continue unabated in the middle east through the end of May, 2002.

In the meantime, we have an orchestra of Uranian planets,
hovering in nearly the same positions, to add fuel to this fire.

9-11 occured just before Saturn went retrograde (9-27-01), and America and her allies responded shortly after Saturn went retrograde. This sprouted an outpouring of anger affecting the middle east and the entire global community.

There will be war for 28-30 years.
One full Saturn cycle.
Long term war, a Saturn war. A war for survival.
And it is a fight to the end until only one party is left standing. Most of us will be around to see this.

Then there is Pluto in Sagittarius giving meaning to the lives of these young suicide bombers. Sagittarius is very much about purpose, meaning, the arrow moving directly toward the goal. Pluto makes the pursuit of this purpose much more intense and destructive.

On thing for sure, Pluto is transforming all our lives with how we see the world; no longer through eyes of innocence or ignorance. We must put the crafty alertness of Pluto into play, look over our shoulder, and remain aware at all times. We've entered a time of survival of the fitness.

If indeed this activity is about purpose, then the solution must be sought in finding a higher purpose to substitute. The good news -- the opposition is as bad as it gets. Crisis means resolution of some sort and healing/rebuilding/restructuring on the other side of the cycle. We should stand ready with the vision for a brighter future.
