Heart, mind, body, spirit: all in unison, awaiting the coming of my spirit guide. People of fur and claw, scale and feather; send to me the One who shall walk with me in the path of my life. Be it mammal or reptile, flier or walker; I shall accept and honor him with grace and reverence. Lady and Lord of Beasts; entrust one of your children to my soul, for I shall cherish their guidance and companionship for all eternity. Let them call to me in my dreams so that I might answer their sacred voice. Let me lay my eyes upon their form, so that I might keep their image in my heart. Let me share my joy and sorrow with them; let me dance with them when I'm happy, and hold them when I weep. Let me tell them of my life, while they share their world with me. Let me run with them, fly with them, swim with them. Give me this gift, and I shall be content.
