A good friends cats eat sunflower seeds and I wonder if its the salt on them or its just a treat they don't get that often. They also eat grasshoppers and moths along with his granola. They all seem healthy so I guess they are alright on the choice of things they eat.

I do remember one time my cat (we call him dippy) tried to eat one of my cd's. When he couldn't actually bite through it he gave up. He ate lettuce instead...lol

I have two cats with unusual tastes...the male loves mushrooms...not those canned icky things, but fresh ones. After buying them, they must be hidden in the fridge, because he will jump *into*the fridge anytime it opens to rip the bag open and eat them...he will also fight the dog (110 lb german shepherd dog) for her biscuits, and pigs ears.

My girly kitty will fight anyone for cauliflower...and if there is broccoli to be had, the pair of cats will fight like there's no tomorrow for it...claws, hissing, spitting, drawing blood...yep, all over little green trees :lol:
