Hi! Im not exactly a new pagan, but I was just curious about how other pagans celebrate Beltane. I would like to experiment with a new ritual this year and I was wondering if you had any ideas?

I am *very* spur of the moment with this type of thing. SOmetimes it might be a formal ritual, it might be a dinner with family and friends, it might be nothing.
I just let chance drive....

Hi there!
This year I'm planning ahead - wich is very unusual for me. I'm going to hang coloured ribbons in my backyard trees and have a silent prayer. Then I'll probably leave the God and Goddess candles burning all night long, symbolizing their union, and meditate for a while on the meaning of Beltane.
Yet, plans can change... I'm also a very spur of the moment person. :)

Using Beltane (newing of seasons) to talk with my family about who I am and what I beleive (wish me luck) and see how it turns out.
I will hang color ribbons and burn candles also. I wish I had more to celebrate with!

Good Luck, UlricDragon!
I am also very spur of the moment. As I am living at home again <sigh> I tend to not do too many "obvious" things. My parents know, but they don't know.
Once I have my own place I'll probably do a little more planning for my holidays.
Last year I had my own place (an apartment) and lit many candles, had fresh flowers tied with ribbons and held a small prayer ritual.

I'm a little late on this thread but picked it up cause I wanted to see what others were doing to celebrate Beltane as this is actually my first Beltane.
We didn't actually celebrate untill the Friday the 3rd.
All the kids spent the night with friends and family....so my husband and I had the night to ourselves....which is few and far between!
We had a nice supper, watched a movie, and then burned candles and played inspirational music till the wee hours of the morning. Basically just enjoyed each others company!
Then, the next morning realized the house was too quite and rushed out to get the kids!

Well, it might be a lil late for me to post this since it's a couple months past Beltane already but this is what I did...since Beltane IS the great marriage between the Goddess and God, I picked out a pretty place in the wood behind my house...I made a circle out of spring flowers and my boyfriend and I made love, just as the Mother and Horned one. It was perfect and I could feel the power.
