But I decided to stop in again and say hi. I've been busy with college stuff all over the place and trying to get my major changed after coming to grips with the fact that I really don't see myself as being a hardware engineer. So now I am trying to get into computer programming.

Anyhoo, my purpose for this was not only that but to say this, which a friend had brought up and it made me really think. The part that adds to the twist is that he himself is an Aethiest.

He has this theory in which states that Jesus Christ is an embodiment of every religion out there. Here is a summarization of what I remember him saying, put into my own words:

It is written that he was born as a Jew in an arab country. He converted to Christianity. Throughout his travels he had 12 people with him. Twelve plus another one equals 13, the standard coven. He turned water into wine, which I believe was something either Allah or Buddha was said to have done, as well as the walking on water.

Knowing this, perhaps it was Christ's goal to pass a belief to the human world: We are one, and we are human. What a better way to say that we are all one than to be a little bit of everything that we believe in! Perhaps he wasn't a messenger of one god, but simply a messenger stating essentially "hey, regardless of what we choose to believe, we are still humans one and the same. If we do not realize this, then we will truly destroy ourselves."

And then this message was lost when Jesus was killed, various religions claimed he never existed in the first place, and the rest could have cared less about his existance period. Or, at the very worst, he was just a nutcase.

However, my friend is right when he states that there is no reason why we shouldn't listen to that message, that regardless of what we believe, regardless of anything that makes us different from any other person, we are all humans. He also stated that with the value of the message itself, its originator holds no real relevance, whether it was Christ, Buddha, or Spirit or even just some everyday human being.

And in case people freak out, yes, I am Wiccan. At least that's what I understood my beliefs to be of. I'm not some bible-thumper. To be truthful I don't like the turn Christianity and Catholicism have taken, mostly because of how it is taught in my area and where my girlfriend lives. I believe their beliefs do have merit, but the way it has been interpreted in parts of America and other parts of the world has done little justice to show that, at least in my opinion. Mostly because of that whole "love thy neighbor" bit seeming to have been lost by a few...what's the word...extremists? ;)

But ya. I personally believe the message my friend had pointed out in his theory. It's just basically saying to accept everyone as your equal, because well, they are. :)
