How did you picking a tradition? Did you go by your heritage? Does anyone know of a place that would be a good start to look into the different trads?
I want to thank you all very much you have all be a wonderful source of information. At first I wasn't sure about this site I saw a lot of monkey business. I soon saw that when it came to serious stuff you jump to attention. Thanks again.
Blessings

The Witches Voice has a good section on traditions:

Here's another site with some good links to traditions:

Basically you do a lot of reading and a lot of thinking. In the end I decided I was an Eclectic, which means that I chose, what I considered to be, the best from everything I read about and formed my own personal tradition.

I picked Green Witchcraft after reading lots about it. I was originally a Wiccan, but I am more interested in learning about various pantheons, various principles and theology, and although I'm interested in high magic and alchemy I'm not much into Wiccan ceremony (ie. celebrating sabbats specially, and so on). I study lots of belief systems, and I'm particularily interested into kitchen witchcraft and stregheria, along with tarot, gemstones, runes, fairy and dragon magic.
Basically, just go ahead and do tons of research and thinking and you'll find what makes you happy.

I'm sure if I keep looking I will find what I want. Nothing has reached out and gabed me yet. But, thanks for the input.

Reading about and "trying on" different faith traditions. Eventually I felt drawn to Hellenismos (Greek Paganism) even though I have a Celtic/Cherokee ethnic background.

I first found out about Asatru about 13 years ago. I was at the library, and backed up to give somebody space to walk past. I bumped into the shelf behind me, and a book about runes fell on my head.
