OK, Tinika is my soon (2 days) to be new roommate...
I got this email from her today... edited for PG viewers..:)

Yesterday, the whole landlord fight was because she
had agreed to rent my apartment to a young couple a
few weeks ago , and then yesterday, without reason,
she told them she had changed her mind and left them
with less than a week to find a place to go. Needless
to say, they were upset. I was on the phone with the
girl all day yesterday trying to help her...i felt so
bad for them.

Imagine my surprise when I came home yesterday to find
that all the windows in the front of my house had
been smashed in while I was at work (yes - in broad
daylight!). There is glass all through my entire
house and everything I own. I called a friend and dragged
them out of the gym to get over to my house. they were
really good.... ran out in the middle of working out
and came straight over and stayed with me last night.

I'm not working today because I need to take the day
to get my windows boarded up properly and finish
getting all the glass cleaned up. Also, the police
need to come out again (they were here before I got
home yesterday because a neighbour was kind enough to
call them) and take a full report.

On a really sad note...you may remember, Radar's cage
has windows on two sides. His cage was absolutely
full of glass and he's not doing very well.
(Raidar is her bunny avec one ear...hence the name)

they don't care. We know who did it. It was the guys brother, the neighbour saw it all, even called the cops while Tinika was at work...

She has all the info on them, the cops could care less... :mad:

her one cat and dog won't come out of the basement they are so scared... the other cat is deaf... probably didn't hear a thing...

Boy! The nasty things some people are capable of! I would suggest she keeps pursuing this with the police. Poor bunny! I hope that everything turns out ok for your friend & her pets.

Thanks guys...all your kind words and thoughts mean alot.

Bottom line....I'm not mad about the mess I spent all night cleaning up. I'm not mad about the glass splinters in my hands. I'm not even all that mad that my house now looks like a crack house with boarded up windows!

I'm mad because of the effect this has had on my little family... most of all my little one eared bunny, Radar. Shnen can tell you how much my animals mean to me - they are everything. To think what they went through between the time this happened (I'm told it was around 1pm) and the time I got home (6:00) is more than I can bear...

Just two more days to go and it's onward and upward to better things! By this time next week Shen and I will both be happy campers!

What a bunch of freaks! I'm sending love and protection to your friend, and yourself...........It makes me angry to hear horrid things like that.

Not only have they violated her basic human rights to feeling safe in her home, but to hurt a defenseless bunny. Grrrrrrrrrr, idiots!!!!

Just a quick update to thank you all for sending so much energy my way.

Radar bunny spent last night with the vet, but he is home tonight, and curled up in my lap as I write this....vet says if he got through last night, he should be just fine.

I think it will take a while before he becomes the laid back bunny he once was, but he's on the road to recovery!
