Your favorite stones?

So what is everyone's favourite stone?

Mine was malachite for a while (I have a lovely malachite ball) but the other dream I had a dream about sodalite. Went out and got myself a small-ish piece, and now I think it may be my new fave!

So how about you guys?

I enjoy the company of most stones... What has always kept my interest through the many years are Meteorites and Quartz. Right now I'm in an Impactite/Tektite phase.

citrine is amazing. Makes me feel really safe just holding a piece.

Changes everytime. At the moment it's sodalite and rainbow fluorite.

I change as well. for some reason Jet and irradiated quartz I usually feel comfortable with.

Goodness, there are so many!

I am generally attracted to darker coloured stones so I love dark amethyst, garnet, and haematite but I also love clear quartz and turquoise and I have just acquired the most stunning piece of Moldavite!

I would have to say my Elestial Quartz is still my favorite. This particular piece has had quite an impact on me. :idea: :ballonsmi

Oh, my favourite changes all the time.
Aside from the obvious amethyst and rose quartz, i think my faves of the moment are also honey jade, green calcite and moldavite.
i will stop now or i'll be listing every crystal i own :D

hematite. I have lots and lots of it. tumbled stones, magnetic jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, beads to make more jewelry with... you name it I have it in hematite.

At the moment my favorite stone has been blue lace agates. I've been wearing a ring and pendent of that stone for almost two weeks now, only taking them off to do dishes or bathe.

Also-- moonstones, amber, and lapis.

Stones are my weakness, I'm addicted to them and collect like crazy.

It changes. But a few that seem to stick are Lapiz Lazuli, Clear Quartz, Peridot, Jade, Amber and Amethyst.

I've always felt a real connection with amythest its an awesome stone and so multi purspose. I also luv rose quartz and jade :hahugh:

For some reason I absolutely love moonstones. (= My favorite is always changing, though.
Unfortuneately I don't own many precious/semi-precious stones, just a bunch that I find outside and find attractive yet don't know the name for. x);

Wow! Hard to choose with stones...there are so many nice ones. Well...the ones that come to mind first will be the ones that get to be listed!
Those would be turquoise, moss agate, rutilated quartz, moonstone, opal, emerald, and tumbled river stones....

I'd have to say my favorite stones and gemstones are turquoise and moldavite. I joke friends that pieces of moldavite are "kryptonite" (as it is clear green meteoric gemstone) - and I keep it around for the day Superman tries to stop me from taking over the world... :nyah:

But seriously - Turquoise always feels warm and inviting to me. It grounds me and opens me up to spirit in ritual and divination. I feel it is also a protective stone. My favorite piece is about the size of a two golfballs and fills my hand when I hold it.

Moldavite is a highly energized stone. I first learned of it in the pagan community of Indianapolis. I use a silver pendulum with a chamber that holds a piece of moldavite. When I have it, I use an essential oil mixture of cinnamon with moldavite suspended in it to apply directly to my third eye before spiritual or divinatory work. If you haven't experienced moldavite - get your hands on some and see what develops!

I picked up a gorgeous peice of rainbow flourite today. It sure is intreging me. I need to make a pendant out of it I think. This is an awesome stone!

Selenite, kyanite, rhodochrosite, sugilite, citrine quartz.....erm...yeah, I could go on forever...lol. I am a diehard stone collector and I do change my favorites as I discover new and interesting stones.

I like black obsidian it just feels so smooth like it takes the edges of everything...very nice. Rose quartz is also great for doing heart meditations with and I keep a piece of citrine around too.

I really like clear quartz. I don't usually like the super clear points except for pendants. I like them where they're rough to hold on one part and have a point. I also like aqua aura stone (clear quartz treated with gold), jade, labradorite, rainbow moonstone, tigers eye, and black tourmaline.
