I'm new to paganism/wicca and I really want some pointers on how I can self-intiate myself to the Goddes/God. I live in the middle of HICKSVILLE Ohio and I only know one other person who is studying the same path I am. It would really help me out if someone could start me in the right direction as I'm still in the so-called "broomcloset" and no one to talk to. Around here anyone not a Christian is a sinner or an outsider, you could say. Your assistance in helllping me get started down my path would really, REALLY be appreciated.
Thanx!!!!!!

Merry Meet Lauralu!
:)
Welcome to Misticwicks! I'm still a newbie here (registered in February) but I already feel as if I was here for years. It's a great place to learn from, people are very supportive and tolerant.

I understand you perfectly well, I live in Poland, where Catholicism is a national religion and you can imagine how people of different faith are treated here.

I hope you' ll like it here :)

Blessed Be

Lauralu, welcome to the community.

Look around MysticWicks, in books, websites, etc for some ideas on how to initiate yourself to the Gods. What is important, is that it comes from your heart.

About the town you live in, all I can say is some have it tougher than others. But I wouldn't fret, because there are many many others like you - and I would bet a few in your town. Just search. You'll be happily surprised.

Ah, another Ohioan.

Welcome and Blessed Be. I live in Canfield which is around Younstown, Ohio if you know where that is.

Like everyone says, we're all very friendly and would be happy to help you out in any way.

What is your Wiccan path?: Gardenian, Alexaderian, Celtic, Electic?

Once you know that, then we can help you on your initation.

If you want to IM me or email me for anything at all:
Email---crsh4evr@cs.com or aliasagent103@go.com
IM: crsh4evr (aol or compuserve)

Hope to hear from you again.

Hey, thanx youse guys for all the support. I will look around a bit more for my initiation question. In reply to BlueFarieRose's question I am a solitary ecletic (as I'm still studying so many different things!!) :) All of you make me feel right at home here on my computer!! Blessed be!!

I'm also a solitary eclectic, and I know how daunting it can be in the beginning! I've been studying for about three years now and still consider myself to be a beginner. We are all always growing and learning in our paths and ourselves.

I, personally, did not create an initiation ceremony for myself. It was not something that was important to me personally. But like everyone else has said, look around. There are lots of people here to help you! You can search the entire MW site with the search option. Best of luck! See you around!
