Can someone maybe give me some insight?

Hi all,

One of my ferrets is dead (I just found her). She was in her cage, where I placed her on sunday. Yesterday I noticed her "sleeping" with the others, but when I went to get them out today, she was not sleeping... I'm not sure what happened, but wondered if anyone might be able to help me out a bit. I want to know if it was something preventable (which, it probably was), so that my other two babies don't meet the same fate.

What age?
Was there anything different like potty changes, appetite, interacting with the other ferrets or people?
Its very hard to guess unless its something obvious like age.
All critters can die at any age for many, many reasons.
Sometimes you never know.

I am sorry this happened. Its hard we it wasn't expected and such a shock.

I'm so sorry. I have to agree with the previous reply; there are many reason this could have happened. To make you feel better, it would be a wise and comforting idea to get the rest of your animals checked up. This could shed some insight into whether it was at least communicable.
