This evening my cat, Max, started stumbling around and lost control of his hind legs. He let out a couple of pitiful little wails, collapsed on the floor, kinda of out of it for about 5 - 6 minutes. He finally got backup and was moving around like normal. Then he puked on the carpet. I could tell he had gotten hold of some paper and there was some blood mixed in. After that he had an accident, peeing in the corner. Now, Max doesn't have accidents very often. I also noted that one pupil was just a little more dialated than the other. He was acting like his normal self within about an hour, purring and wanting me to hold him all eveing as usual. I'm not sure if it was a seizure or possibly a mini-stroke. He has eaten and had water and been to the litter box. I'm trying to get my mother to pick me up to go to the vet come morning since hubby has the car for work(no, I can't drive him in because its a hour drive to his jobsite and I have a little boy to get on the bus). Anyone had this happen with their cat???

Hate to say it, but it sounds like a mini-stroke to me. Get him to vet as soon as you can.
Good Luck to both of you!

A friend of mine had a dog that reacted just like that (especially with the vomitting and accident after) and it happened to be a sezuire. The dog has managaed to live a full life even with the seizures (she has them regularly). I would definately get it checked out though. Good luck.

How old is Max?
It sounds like a stroke to me too. However, I have an older cat that reacted is a similar way after having a reaction to a flea medication.
Good luck with Max, I will keep you both in my thoughts, hope he is ok.

Good luck. Hope whatever happened is over now.
Could be re-action to something, even an allergic reaction, poisoning, stroke...?
Hope you can get him to the vet soon.

Max is about 6 years old. Today, he's been his normal self, even batted at the laser pointer and hissed at the puppy. He's using the litter box as normal and eating and drinking. I called my vet who said it most likely was a seizure. Since my mother didn't want to come give me a ride to the vet today(thats a rant all on its own seeing as I don't ask for help very often), the vet told me to try and bring him in Monday morning and just watch him.
Interesting note, as soon as Max hit the floor yesterday I immediately started administering Reiki. The HPS I'm friends with said that was probably the best thing I could have done. While I can work Reiki some on humans, I seem to be able to work Reiki on animals best. Afterwards, every time I touched anything metal I got shocked. Had to have the hubby finish cooking dinner because I got tired of getting jolted everytime I touched my cast iron pan.
Didn't mean to ramble. Needed to see some things in print to put it in perspective.
