Greetings to All:

This is a Chain Email that I am writing in order to give Warning of the Unethical Business Practises of Mr. Lube which is located at 15181 Fraser Highway, Surrey.

On April 16th, after finishing working, I went to Fountain Tire to get my Oil changed. Unfortunately, they were closing at 5:00pm, so they said they would not be able to get to it.

I then looked around and saw the Mr. Lube just down the street, I decided to go there.

When I got there, I stopped before entering their garage, got out of my car, and walked up and asked for their Price. The attendant who sort of looked like Joe Pesci with a scar over one of this eyes, stated that they do Oil Changes for $46.00, which is the price that I was quoted at Fountain Tire, so I went in.

The service tech who worked on my car sort of looked like Carrot Head with a Fluffy Permanent.

This Guy did High Pressure Sales to the Max!!!

This guy tried talking me into getting all sorts of unnecessary servicing. He tried to talk me into getting my Engine Flushed, and my Transmission Seals and Oil Changed. Those services would have totalled out to more than $170.00 if I had fallen for this guy's High Pressure Sales Tactics.

He even tried getting me to fill out a form registering myself with their Email Club. I did not fill that in, as I did not want getting their Spam.

After this guy finished changing the oil and trying to do High Pressure Sales, he then handed me my bill, and it said $79.99, not the $46.00 is was originally quoted. I pointed out to him that when I came in, I had been quoted $46.00, but he made up some sort of excuse like that I had been given better grade service and oils. I then realized that I had been given a False Quote just to get my ass in their garage.

I was really Pissed Off with this kind of service and I am writing this Chain Email so that everyone knows not to take their Cars to Mr.Lube in Surrey cause they will try to Rip You Off!

Please Forward This To Three Friends!

I'll help.

Go to the auto store.
Look up the oil filter for your car. The books for the filter/car match are usually hanging in the isle.
Buy your filter.
Go buy your oil.

Go home. Get an open end wrench set, rags, an oil wrench and funnel.
If you dont have these tools go buy them.
Jack up your car and crawl under with a dish pan and open end wrenches.
Under your oil pan is a plug. Unscrew it. The oil will drain out into your dishpan.
When the oil has mostly drained out, go unscrew your filter with the filter wrench.
After the draining has stopped. Plug the oil pan and put your new filter on.
Now unjack your car.
Go under the hood and use your funnel to put it your new oil.

You can buy a book for your car too.
At the auto store get a book for your car, they average between 10-15 bucks.
The books have the step by step instructions for your basic car care for your vehicle make and model.

An oil change for one of our vehicles cost around 20 bucks! And that with the good oils not the low grade junk many places use when you take your car in. If you buy your oil by the case its even cheaper and you get enough oil for several changes, which is what we do.

Then take your tools and make a couple of bucks changing everyones oil that you know. They buy the filter and oil for their car and you charge 10 bucks for the 5 minutes of labor. :)

I almost forgot. You can take your pan of oil and dump it into empty milk jugs, with your funnel. Then take it to your nearest recycle center. Oil is recyclable!

Jeez.. I've never paid more than $20 for lube, oil & filter at my mechanic's.
Is another chain-letter the right solution? How about contacting the company or the better business bureau? Have you?

I agree with Merrilyn and Shanti. Either learn how to do it yourself or contact the corporate head honcho. All a chain mail is going to do is get deleted.

Well this forum is not a place to post chain mail. If you have a problem with this company contact the appropriate service and file a complaint. If you are looking for advice that's fine but I urge you to edit the initial post stating of your unfortunate experience leaving out the chain mail part and suggesting others to follow suit.
