Around the beginning of the winter, I was becoming less and less spiritual, which bothered me. Now that i reflect back on the winter period, I figure it was a time for self discovery as I came to terms with some things, learned about myself and others. I think it was just time for me. But now, I'm feeling a lack of something and I know what that is. My spirituality, my faith. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to become reaquainted with my spirituality and the Gods.

good question. I've noticed that in myself. Has anyone else notices that in their past?

Actually I have found the same thing. Right after Samhain, wether I actively celebrate or not, my spiritual interest gets lost, and I do a lot of self analysing (you may have noticed in some of my threads:eek: ) Then I start to plant seeds, renew life and everything fits back to gether, and I am found again. I don't know if that makes sense, but that is what I go through.
I always have so many intentions, but I forget to go through with so many of my "revelations" that are awakened over winter. then Springs comes and one true revelation appears to me and is realized...Ummm yeah, anyways... If you have an Altar, clean it, dust off your crystals, and cleanse yourself. Meditation helps too.
Much Love and Light, sarah

Thats intriguing that I'm not alone on this.
Maybe the winter is a time for ourselves, reflecting and planning for the future?

This reduction in spiritual energy or connection with our spiritual selves makes complete sence when we look at the Wheel of the Year. At Samhain (in the Northern hemisphere, of course), the harvest is over and the Earth is closing down, preparing for winter. The leaves fall, the animals hibernate or head south -- energies turn inward or lie dormant for a period of time.
I find this trend happens with me, too. Since I found Wicca, I tend to embrace this cycle more, rather than fight against it.

Around August my focus begins to shift inward and around Febuary I tend to find some renewed energy and faith.
Happens every year...:D

I have the same problem, only my former psychaitrist called it "Seasonal Affective Disorder."
This year, I am spending alot of time on these boards, revisiting my favorite books on spirituality, cooking, planting seeds, planting flowers, hunting for herbs, making plans for Beltane, etc.
But most importantly for me: WATCHING THE SKY.
I can't say why but when I look up and see that giant pregnant white moon looking down at me, I can't help but be inspired. Tonight, I sat in the rain (another biggy) and stared at the moon and stars. I feel completely re-energized and totally in touch with the Divine.
