I thought I'd start this thread for the hell of it. I figure it might be fun to track my thoughts and stuff in the one place and save making numerous threads for all sorts of stuff.

12 May 2007 - Received a POSITIVE result from a Blood Test. Approximately 4 weeks pregnant. Estimated Due Date is 18th January 2008.

So it's silly really. Rhyce is currently out with a mate, somewhere having a few drinks. And it occurred to me, that I won't be able to drink either for another eight months. Don't get me wrong, I don't drink a lot. Haven't since I found out I was pregnant with Xander around this time in 2005. But believe it or not, it still manages to get me down.

 It's a good thing that I like apple juice then. I have a feeling I'll be drinking a lot of it.

14 May 2007 - Told hubby's parents they were going to be grandparents again. They were thrilled. Have yet to tell my own family.

RubyRose

17 May 2007 - Is it just me, or do you really need cheese and olives with gerkins. Guess I'm going to have to buy some.

Willow Rosette
May 16th, 2007, 11:52 PM
What is "gerkins"???

How are you feeling???

RubyRose
May 18th, 2007, 09:26 AM
Gerkins? Gee how do I explain that. I suppose sorta like pickled cucumbers. Sort of.

Yeah I'm okay, a tad queezy at times...

18 May 2007 - Thinking I'm going to have to pull out my maternity pants for work. My size 8 ones I normally wear are getting a tad tight. They were tight to begin with but the size 10s were too loose.

23 May 2007 : Blood work came back fine. And my first ultrasound is scheduled for 3:30pm 30th May 2007. Drinking 600mls of water shall be interesting, as I'm feeling nauseous every so often lately, particularly at night while lying in bed.

KaidaMidnight
May 23rd, 2007, 08:01 AM
Gerkins are pickles :D

Sounds like things are coming along nicely. When you get your ultra sound done, we want pics!

RubyRose
May 23rd, 2007, 09:56 PM
Yup will scan the thing into my computer.

RubyRose
May 28th, 2007, 09:44 PM
29 May 2007 - Well my parents know. panicking for no reason as usual. So that's done. And I think everybody's hoping for a girl. Yeah a girl would be nice.

Also, in other news, my right hip is killing me, I thought for a little while there the pain had gone, but it came right back.

Ultrasound tomorrow, I'm dreading trying to drink all that water.

RubyRose
May 30th, 2007, 04:47 AM
30 May 2007 - I had my ultrasound this afternoon, and I'm 8 weeks and 3 days, not 6 weeks and 5 days like I first thought. Due Date is 6th January 2008. The very same Due Date I was given for my son.

Pic to follow as soon as I scan it.

KaidaMidnight
May 30th, 2007, 06:59 AM
Due Date is 6th January 2008.

We are estimating my due date around January 30th of 2008, so we'll have babies close together! :)

Glad everything looked good at the U/S. Two weeks ahead of where ya thought you were! Can't wait to see "baby's first pics" :D

That's cool! :]

RubyRose

It's the funniest thing, because two years earlier Xander's due date was 6th January 2006. He was induced on the 3rd though. The 6th January 2005 is also the day that Rhyce and I got engaged.

awww.. look a lil Jelly Bean! (LOL.. that's how my oldest son said it when he saw the u/s of his little brother when I was pregnant the second time) :D

RubyRose

Kaida, that's the funniest thing, because "Jellybean" is this little ones nickname.

Ohhh RR You got an ultrasound early. At 9 weeks I had a problem and they did an ultrasound. It was sooo cool. I could see a circle for the head, body, and each arm and leg. She looked like a little teddy bear. How are you feeling?

RubyRose
June 1st, 2007, 11:58 PM
We weren't sure how far along I was, which was the main reason for the ultrasound.

I'm feeling relatively okay. I vomited for the first time Thursday morning, unfortunately, I hadn't eaten anything and it was just bile. Eww.

Mostly feeling queezy most days. And I'm currently eating chocolate. Which is sickeningly sweet.

Oh Im sorry the nasties are comming. When iw as pregnant nothing ever worked except peppermint tea. I drank it 24/7 mixed with raspberry tea to strengthen my utureus.

RubyRose
June 2nd, 2007, 01:10 AM
It's okay, I'm rather used to it now.

Might try the tea though, thanks.

7 May 2007 - Currently craving cheese and tomato sandwiches, with salt and pepper.

Sadly though, I'm almost out of bread, and contemplating making my 4th sandwich of the day.

your just now getting sick? lucky you. I've been sick all week! lol

hrmmm.. time to invest in a bread machine? ;)

RubyRose
June 7th, 2007, 11:38 PM
I've been sick for a week or two. I've only now gotten tablets from the doctor to relieve nausea. Only problem is they make me drowsy, which isn't the best thing when it comes to work.

Willow Rosette
June 8th, 2007, 12:04 AM
RR get yourself some mint. Even mint gum is said to help but I know the tea helps.....

RubyRose

13 June 2007 : So Xander and I are both sick with colds. It begun yesterday, and wound up with me vomiting 3 times in three hours. And of course, the whole experience scared Xander and made him cry.

RubyRose
June 28th, 2007, 02:19 AM
28th June 2007 : Had my 12 weeks ultrasound. Everything seems to be fine, according to the unofficial word from the woman who did the scan.

I also have pictures. Enjoy!

KaidaMidnight
June 28th, 2007, 01:32 PM
Wow! Those are really great looking pics! Did you get a chance to see if it's a boy or a girl?

RubyRose
June 28th, 2007, 10:18 PM
Nope a tad too early for that. The reason they are better quality is because these were placed on a disk and I didn't have to scan them.

RubyRose
July 24th, 2007, 12:20 AM
The nausea is still going strong, at 16 weeks, though not quite as bad as it has been in the past. And I now have a belly. Which reminds me, must get batteries for the camera.

KaidaMidnight
July 24th, 2007, 07:54 AM
yes yes !! we want belly pics ! :D

RubyRose
July 24th, 2007, 08:06 AM
Will take some as soon as the batteries charge up. Should be all set to go tomorrow.

July 24th, 2007, 09:43 AM
Looking forward to seeing belly pics!

I hope you feel much better soon! The Nausia sucked a lot... Though for me in subsided around 13 or 14 weeks.

RubyRose
July 24th, 2007, 09:44 PM
Well its actually subsided a lot, but I still get the occasional need to vomit. I think its tied into the fact that I need to eat first thing in the morning.

Yeah, I was taking a few early ones using the mirror, but the mirror is dirtier than I thought, so they kinda went by the way side.

RubyRose
July 26th, 2007, 09:19 PM
27 July 2007 : Well suprise surprise, I can keep down water for a change. Up until now I couldn't drink much if any because I'd wind up being sick.

On another note, my left ear is blocked and sore. And I'm going to have to put up with it until Tuesday, as I won't be able to get an appointment earlier, due to having to work.

KaidaMidnight
August 8th, 2007, 06:24 AM
How are things going? You should be close to finding out if your having a boy or girl now right?? :D How are you feeling lately? Getting a bigger belly now?

RubyRose
August 8th, 2007, 08:10 AM
Belly's gotten bigger yes, damn batteries, had to pinch em from the camera again for the keyboard. Optical stuff sucks sometimes.

Yep booking the ultrasound tomorrow, so I should be having it in a week or two.

RubyRose

22 August 2007

I know, I know I promised belly pics, but something always gets in the way and they don't happen. :(

In other news, we went for the anatomy ultrasound this afternoon, and everything looks good baby wise.

We also seem to be having....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A GIRL!!!

Of course ... with girl's it seems there is that slight margin of error, but the tech seemed as positive as she could be, considering bubs was lying with *her* legs up towards her head.

I definitely did not see any boy bits. Unfortunately we don't have an image of that elusive shot for evidence. Damn it. It was the one shot I was hoping to wave at all the grandparents.

Willow Rosette

RubyRose
August 22nd, 2007, 08:36 PM
Yup! :D That's what hubby said. Now he's threatening to get a vasectomy. I told him to hold off until he's 30. (he's barely 25) I'm not sure I convinced him.

RubyRose
August 26th, 2007, 01:06 AM
26th August 2007 : Well "little miss" is currently still nameless. Rhyce is incredibly picky to a certain degree, that we just can't come up with anything. Other than Fae or Rose for the middle name spot.

I'm throwing Poppy around in my head at present. But I don't know how it will go over with Rhyce.

Willow Rosette
August 26th, 2007, 01:08 AM
Ohhhh Poppy Rose...a little herbal baby. I love it!

RubyRose
August 26th, 2007, 02:45 AM
Yeah it does have a charming ring to it.

Ravenna Angellin
August 26th, 2007, 12:21 PM
How cute!! I like Poppy Rose!

I'm sorry I never saw your thread before. How fun this will be. Lucky, too. You already get to know that you're having a girl, lol!

Glad to hear things are progressing nicely for you!!

Blessings,
~ Ravenna

KaidaMidnight
August 26th, 2007, 01:56 PM
Poppy rose.. that is a very interesting name! I like it, has a nice ring to it. Has Rhyce said if he likes it or not?

RubyRose
August 27th, 2007, 11:12 PM
To be honest I never brought up the name Poppy with him, because I remembered that his grandmother's husband is called "Poppy" rather than "Granddad" when it comes to the grandkids and great grandkids. So I kinda threw the name out on principle.

We have however, since settled on the name, Lilia Fae (Lily). I thought we would never settle on a name, so it's a big relief.

How is everything going with you? :)

RubyRose
September 21st, 2007, 12:20 AM
Yeah the pregnancy is going well .... life on the other hand isn't going so well. Let's just say Rhyce is very stubborn and selfish when it comes to doing anything. It's really best reserved for another thread to be honest. Rhyce sees my full time job as being a housewife and mother and expects me to not only clean the house and take care of Xander (which I do) but also keep on top of the weeds that that during winter popped up everywhere. With the majority of September being wet, and only now beginning to fine up, I find I'm constantly snowed under with the housework that I have little energy to tackle the yard. I think Rhyce forgets at times that I'm almost into the 3rd trimester, and only going to get bigger.
He grumbles about the fact that I say he doesn't do anything, and will only half admit to it being true. Makes big grand gestures over the fact that he will make an effort, only for it to be solely just pure hot air.

Okay, rant over and done with. Like I said, the pregnancy is progressing well. But now I have to organise the house, and get myself ready for work at 5pm.
