Maybe I should give a little background into my situation.

We have had custody of my 9 year old stepson for almost 3 years now. We learned he was severly traumatized by his birth mother. We have had him to every therapist and psychologist there is and we have not have made any progress with him.

My question is: Is there a spread I can use to gain insight with him and to learn the best course of action to use to help him? If there is can someone explain the spread to me? I would say I am at an intermediate level with the tarot.

Thank you to all in advance-Sharon

I'll think about it some and see if I can come up with anything. In the meantime, check out the FAQ and the spreads list up there. :)

I think I'd try to do something sort of free form. I'm sure he has more than one issue, so you might want to use several cards, or you can do one smaller reading multiple times. I'd use 3 cards (or multiples of 3)

1. What is one of his issues?
2. How can I help him overcome or work through this issue?
3. What is a possible outcome of helping him with this issue?

Or for multiples:

1....4....7 = Issues
2....5....8 = Help
3....6....9 = Possible Outcomes

Does that sound like something you could use?

Have you ever thought about making up your own spread ? Some times using something that you have created will hold a special connection to you and your situation .
