My husband said he liked this deck better than the Nefertari egyptian deck when I was showing him egyptian decks and I didn't realized this was out of print. And after looking around I see it's extremely hard to find. Does anyone have one in good shape you'd sell us for a reasonable price? And sorry I won't buy for outrageous prices no matter how scarce a deck is, we'll just go find another deck.
I had forgotten about the Ramses deck, I'll show him that one too tonight since it's still in print. He also didn't care for the Senet or Egyptian Tarot Grand Trumps decks either.

I have two copies myself but couldn't part with them if my life depended on it.
I did find this though AET for $19 (http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=889330920&tab=1&searchurl=tn%3Dancient%2Begyptian%2Btarot%26sortby%3D2%26sts%3Dt%26y%3D16%26x%3D40)
Shipping is another $4 (media mail) or $6(priority) and you can get insurance for $2 more. This is a first edition in very good condition, according to the seller.
Hope this helps

I don't know, that only looks to be the book to me, doesn't seem to mention a deck at all. The only deck I've come across was for $190 on Amazon.com.
I showed my husband the Ramses deck last night and he liked it. What are opinions as to which deck is supposed to be better between the Ramses and Nefertari?

The only thing I couldn't get past with the Nefertari's Tarot was some bizarre images on the aces. The ace of Wands had a bull on them, which is an earth symbol, as far as I know. One of the other aces had a baboon on it, but it wasn't the ace of swords. The baboon was sacred to Thoth so would be more of an air symbol, if you ask me. I know nothing at all of the Ramses tarot.
The gold foil version of the Nefertari Tarot is presently on clearance here (http://www.talariaenterprises.com/product_lists/sale/products_large/6157.html).

It's been purchased. The only other listing on Abebooks for the AET right now, is the book only for $19. I will keep nosing around, but next time, I will PM the info to you rather than post it here in this thread.

Congrats! Be very careful! We wouldn't want you and hubby fighting over this most phenomenal deck! And trust me, it's possible ;) (Not because you and hubby might fight, but because the deck is just that good!)
For anyone else interested in a new copy of this deck, which is also SIGNED by Clive Barrett, check his website, which is found here (http://www.mythographica.fsnet.co.uk/). The cost is $50 US, but I don't know if that includes shipping from England or not.

Well he's the only one into Kemet, I have my own decks. But I am anxious so see the deck.

I too have been keeping a watchful eye open with the hopes of picking up the deck. I have seen a few listed on amazon for upwards of 90 bucks .

The deck just arrived and he did autograph the inside cover of the book. I'm leaving the plastic on the deck till my husband gets home to open it. It is his deck and all but the fool card on the top is a nice detailed picture.

I'm a bit confused... is it sold out? :( I have this big list of tarot decks I'm interested in and one of them was Ancient Egyptian Tarot deck. I also like Nefertari and Ramses Tarot but yeah.. the Ancient Egyptian one seems to be the best one of them.
I myself have the Ibis Tarot deck. Have you guys checked that one out? When I bought it in a new age shop in Tallinn (the only shop where you can buy tarot decks here), it was the only Egyptian tarot deck available, so I bought that one. I had no idea of the other Egyptian tarot decks. =/
But then again..I can't complain. I'm quite satisfied with my Ibis tarot, I've grown attached to it and my cards have my energy and they have their accuracy. :)

Egyptian Tarot (Lo Scarabeo):

Yes it's sold out such as not in mass production like by Amazon.com or anything. You can only get a new one now from the author and there's no telling how long his deal will last. Get it while you can I say.

I don't think the deck looks very appealing.

I also found another one called Maat Tarot. It's not entirely all Egyptian-like but I liked it.

I own two copies of this deck. It is the only deck I have used for years, although I have others. I don't know everything there is to know about it, but I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about it.

See, its threads like this that make me wish I'd saved packaging when I was younger. I have the deck and the book, but not the intro cards or packaging that would keep it at top value (not that I'd part with it, anyway, but still, I also have the Greenwood, same problem).
I only started saving packaging a few years ago, when I saw the price for the Greenwood skyrocket. Though I don't plan on selling any of my collection, one never knows, and its a good long term investment if you're into collecting as much as actual use of a deck (I bought a second copy of a couple of my favorites, so I don't have to worry about scuffing the cards in my old, unpackaged versions, when I use them--Haindl and Crowley so far, thinking about others. But OP decks are a problem....).

That's an understatement if there ever was one!
So, how did hubby like the deck? Have you seen it? What do you think about it?
