Is the hawk choosing me?

I was contemplating today on dreams and visions i had lately and it occured to me that maybe i am receiving signs from the Hawk totem. A while ago while i was returning home i heard the cry of the bird in the sky. Don't know if it was a hawk but suddenly it was like i could see in my mind a hawk soaring in the blue sky and crying. His cry was reaching deep in me and it was so intense i felt like falling on my knees. Then recently i had a dream of turning into a hawk. Also my dreams have been vivid lately and i read that this is a trait of people that have been chosen from hawk totems. Finally while talking to a psychic she said that she is seeing the hawk being my spirit guide.

What do you think?Any experiences with the Hawk?

Sis, in most past lives the bird has mainly been your animal totem. For me, it's always mostly been a wolf or bear.
The hawk is reaching out for you for sure because that's how it was with me too. I had lots of dreams of a wolf and a bear chasing me, wanting to be a part of me.. when I did vision quests, I saw a wolf and a bear again. Then it became clear to me that these animals had chosen to become my totems.
By Shamanistic views, to find out what your totem animal is, you need to pay attention to dreams, visions and especially the vision quests.
If you want to know if the hawk really has become your totem, I suggest you to do a vision quest. Here's something you could try:
Lay down, close your eyes, if you have some New Age/Shaman music with a regular drum beat.. put it on and listen to it! The drum is the key. Go to the astral plane, and find a hole or some opening place where you can enter (for eg, a well). Enter it and soon you'll find yourself moving forwards in a tunnel. You should reach the end of it and see the opening of the other side (you might see light from there). Go out and you'll notice you're in a totally different world. See if you notice any animals, creatures and if there's a hawk.
Now, if the hawk grabs you or somehow connects to you there, if it pays attention to you, it has chosen you. Make sure you come back from there too (it doesn't have to be the same way). Of course, there can be other ways of how Shamans seek for their totem animals too, but I myself think this way is a bit easier.
