It seems that the baby dust that RubyRose sprinkled my way has worked. lol

For the past 2 weeks I have been craving big macs.. well, mostly the sauce (thousand island dressing and a little sweet relish mixed together do nicely.. we got tired of spending a lot to get it, so hubby made me some.. LOL). I also hadn't gotten my period, but thought it was just stress. Then I noticed that my breasts were starting to be sensitive. I had that with my boys, but I also had REALLY bad morning sickness. I haven't had that. Certain smells make me feel sick, but I haven't actually gotten sick, so I didn't think I could be pregnant. Plus, all the tests I kept taking turned out negative.

Until today. On my youngest son's birthday (he's 2 btw.. LOL :boing: ) I decided to take one more test. If it was negative, I'd just chalk it up to stress and stop wasting money on the tests. I came outta the bathroom, walked right up to hubby and said "are there two lines there or am I just hoping too much?" LOL... 2 LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

So thanks RR for the dust... it seems to have worked LOL I'll be setting up an official appointment to get a "doctor's test" done, then start searching for a midwife, as we just moved here a year ago, and unfortunatly the midwife who delivered my boys didn't move with us. hehehe

Thanks everyone! :)

Kinda taking it easy, after loosing the last pregnancy, I'm being careful. Just excited that it finally happened again. Seemed like it wasn't going to. :D Thanks for all the well wishes and the baby dust sprinkled our way! I'll keep ya all informed as I progress. Hopefully we have a "lil witch in training" on the way ( we are hoping for a girl! But if it's a boy, that'd be great too)

Oh, I know.. lol. But we have been hoping for a girl for the longest time. And with two lil boys already, I think it's about time. :D Plus, my grandmother gave me the cutest shirt that says "witchlette in training" on it when I was pregnant the last time, but I never got to use it, cause he was a boy. LOL (it is a cute pink shirt)

Went to planned parenthood today for the "official" test. And yup.. I really truly am pregnant. LOL They also put my due date at January 19th, not the 30th. So we'll see when I find a midwife and have an U/S done. :)

Well, we've told most of Randy's (hubby) family. I'm going to be calling my parents tonight. :)

Also, am torn between two midwifes. They both have great recomendations. I really want a water birth with this baby, so I'm going to see if either of them does that. Anyone have a water birth?

Also, for anyone who has had those special u/s. When is the earliest they do it? You know, the 3-D (or is it 4-D?) pics and they make a dvd and tell you if your having a boy or girl... (I know they wouldn't be able to tell if it's a boy or girl til I'm at least 12 weeks right?)

:boing: Just excited! You'd think this was my first and not my third! LOL

KaidaMidnight

We are hoping for a girl, but if we get another boy, that's what was meant to be :) Either way, we've decided that this will be the last baby for us.

KaidaMidnight

So, I've had people from Hubby's work tell me that I'm having a girl, cause they can sense the aura around me. I've heard that carrying your baby like a basket ball means boy, and a watermelon means girl. I've also heard that if your hair sheds more and you don't have to shave as often that it's a girl. And that if your complexion isn't great, it's a girl (cause she's taking your beauty.. LOL).. So here is my question...

Athena-Nadine and Morr, if you two read this, could you post a pic of your bellies from the front? A face forward shot. You can post em here if ya want, or on your topics. Since we know that you two are having girls, I'd like to see for myself if the basketball / watermelon thing is true.. LOL I did carry both my boys like basket balls now that I go back and look at the pics.

Amethyst Rose
June 5th, 2007, 09:04 AM
FWIW, I carried my first son like a watermellon, and all the wives tales and ever single person I talked to or saw me, told me I'd be having a girl with Cameron...except I carried him like a basket ball.

KaidaMidnight
June 5th, 2007, 08:23 PM
lol.. great... so basically I will have NO clue til the U/S if even then.. with my last two I wasn't too worried, but this will be my last pregnancy, and we really want a girl. ( although another boy wouldn't be bad, as we are use to em by now) LOL (but I wanna buy those pink dresses !!!!! )

I have been Soooo tired lately! that wasn't the case with my first two pregnancies. I had TONS of energy with them. With this one, I just wanna curl up in bed all day long. Another thing that is so different is what I'm craving. With both boys I HAD TO HAVE pickles. Pickles was the main thing, then with RW it was green beans with the pickles and with IC it was Steak with the pickles. LOL. This pregnancy though, I can't even look or smell a pickle or I feel sick. I have been craving bannanas and orange juice... that's basically all that's in our fridge right now.. LOL

And it sucks, cause I'm craving the orange juice, but I'm sooooo sick. I thought it was bad with the boys. At least with them I'd feel sick, get sick once and be fine the rest of the day. Not the case with this little one. Oh No! That'd be too easy. Lets just say that hubby came home from work the other day to me scrubbing the bathroom floor, so that it would be nice and clean for me to lay down on  It's been that I'll get sick at least 4 times, then I'll be fine. The sea bands are helping SOOOOO much (thank the Gods whoever invented those!!!!) and I try to have some peppermint tea ready in the mornings.

I won't have my first midwife's appointment until I'm 10 weeks along. So nothing new there...

I know it's early, but I couldn't help it. I went into babies R us AND target and we registered! LMAO  It was just too tempting looking at all the cute things. Plus, we've now agreed on a theme. It's rainforest. Since it'll be awhile til we know if it's a boy or girl, we figured that this was good for both. Plus the little monkey on the items was just too adorable! LOL

Oh, and I guess this thread has turned into a "Kaida Pregnancy Thread". LOL.. I wasn't going to, but I didn't want to post different things all over the forum, so now it is. :) So I guess I'll just keep doing as I have been and writing my thoughts, feelings and updates here :D

That's it for now!

Had a scare. Starting getting lil pains in the lower part of my stomach. Went in and they did a vaginal ultra sound to make sure baby is alright. Baby is doing great!! :D Good heart beat and looking strong. They changed my due date for sure now. The baby is measuring at 6 weeks 3 days, which puts my due date at Feb 4th. So, HA! I was right and planned parenthood was wrong. I told the lady the due date would be around January 30th or so. :P I am going in on Friday for my first pregnancy check up. The pains were just my body getting ready. It didn't happen this soon with my last one (and not at all with the first), but I guess with each baby it happens more and sooner. Anyway, we are so excited! It actually feels more real now that we actually got to see the baby. It's still a lil circle dot, but it's there! I loved hearing the heart beat! Like a little washing machine :D I'll be updating again on Friday after my appointment.

:( Well, I had to reschedual my appointment. We went to the eye doctor first. My appointment was suppose to be at 9 am. They didn't get me in til almost 10! and my appointment with the midwife was at 10:45. I didn't get out of the eye doctor til 11:15!!! I was so upset. But, I waited til I got in the van to cry.. LOL.. I was so proud of myself for that. (I HATE crying.. so the fact that I cry at stupid stuff now .. bleh) The midwife was cool though. She said that things happen and we schedualed for next Friday. And NOTHING is going to stop me from going then. :D

If you're suppose to go in to see a doctor (eye, health.. whatever) at a certain time, you'd think that they would get you in right then. It's not like I had to wait on another person. I was the first one there. PLUS, they didn't even open the doors til like 9:17. My appointment was at 9. They don't like when your late, yet they can hold you for as long as they please while they take their time? just grrrrrrrrrrrrr

well, just got home from two nights in the hospital. It seems that my appendix is not doing so well. I was very close to surgery. The surgeon didn't really want to operate because of the baby though. They did 4 ultra sounds, 2 of which to make sure the baby was ok. That's what the pains were earlier in the week. When the baby is born, they want to take my appendix out. Until then, I'll have antibiotics every couple of months.

It's good to be home, that's for sure. And baby is doing good.

well, went to my doctor's appointment. Everything is looking good. They've schedualed another appointment for next friday, because of the genetics in my side of the family, they need to draw blood for tests and such. AND I knew I was feeling uncomfortable.. um.. down there and I was right. I guess when they gave me the antibiotics when I was in the hospital on Saturday that it gave me a yeast infection. Ugh So along with prenatal vitamins, I got a one time only application for the Y/I. fun stuff I tell ya.

I've also been soooo sick and soooo tired with this pregnancy! And as much as my oldest tries to help, chasing 2 toddlers around is getting to be too much. I actually have to stop and lay on the couch! How sad is that??? And now it's to the point where if I don't put on my sea-bands before I even get out of bed, I feel so sick I can't even sit or stand. This pregnancy is kicking my butt big time!

I can zip em, but I can't get the top button done. LOL I'll be taking a pic in a week, was going to take an 8 week one, but my camera was being a pain in the butt.

I have the cutest shirt that says "Goddess with a Bump" that I sooo can NOT wait to wear! hehehe (hubby got it for me the day we found out)

Well, had another appointment on Monday. Things are looking good. :D My next appointment is August 8th. They also set up our genetics appointment for July 23rd. We are going to go talk to the genetics counsler and get some blood tests done, along with a thorough ultra sound. (checking kidneys, fingers and toes, lungs) Then they'll decide if I need an amnio.

Got to see the heart beat at the appointment. The doctor has an ultra sound machine in his office, and he's like "lets go look at the heart beat... might as well use the machine since we've got it right?" LOL

Well, we went to our appointment with the genetics doctor. Didn't have to do any blood work, as she wants to wait til I'm 19 weeks along. But she did give us an ultra sound. Everything looks great! Even got a shot of baby AJ's hand, and look! 5 fingers! :D That's A GREAT Sign! We got some great pics too. Still too early to tell if it's a boy or girl though. We'll have to wait. :( LOL

ya know.. I don't think I said.. LOL.. SORRY!

If it's a girl her name is to be Angela Joelle (Angela was my older sister who died as an infant).

If it's a boy, his name is to be Alekzander Jakob

We wanted the initials AJ because those are my dad's initials. RW is named after his dad and grandpa. IC is named after both my grandfather and Randy's grandfather (on his mom's side) and AJ would kinda be named after my dad (we would have picked the first name to match, but my dad HATES his name.. LOL.. so he said the initials would be fine.. )

If Scarlet were a boy she would be named Jacob Alexander ;)
Well, if next baby will be a boy, or the one after that if we go for #3, we will name him Jacob Alexander.

I love your girl name too. Beautiful!

I personally want three kids, Scarlet, another girl and the youngest a boy... Hubby insists the next baby will be a boy... Then again he insisted this one would be a boy too LOL!

I am glad we have a boy name though for next one. We had a MUCH easier time agreeing on girl names than on boy names!

LOL.. great minds huh? :hahugh:

We couldn't agree on a name we liked that started with an A or a J for a boy... I liked the name Alexander, but there are a lot of people we know with that exact name. I was flipping through a baby book while in line at Barnes and Nobles and the pages stopped and the first name I saw was Alekzander. Fell in love right then! LOL We were thinking Jacob, but because of the K in Alekzander, we felt the C should be a K in Jakob as well. :D

3 kids is it for us too. Even if this baby is a boy. Our family just feels complete. :)

You know, I don't think MIL has a middle name! Ugh, I mean it's just that as Mexicans we inherit our mom and dads last name, so we have two last names, top that off with a first and middle name, holy moly.

:hahugh:

Luckily my husband and I don't have middle names, just our first names and two last names. I really wish I could give my kids middle names, but then it'd be four names total; first, middle, last maternal, last paternal.

Nuts huh?

Morr posted in her thread that she finally got the crib from a friend. Well, I was sitting in the living room crying watching Birth Day on Discovery Health (I know I know, but I can't help watching those shows and they ALWAYS make me cry.. especially now! LOL) when the door bell rang. Not expecting company, I go and answer it thinking it's going to be a JW or someone trying to sell me a "new cleaner that cleans everything!"

Imagine my surprise when I find my Father-In-Law's girlfriend/roommate (they are on again off again, but still live together... hard to explain). Anyway, she has a truck backed up in our drive way and it's FULL of stuff! The best piece? A BRAND NEW CRIB!!!!!!! I am still speechless. She brought toys for the boys and lil toys for the baby and a high chair. She had been shopping at Garage sales and found all kinds of deals, and then found the crib still in it's box at someone's sale. They never used it, as they ended up co-sleeping! I know she had to have spent more than 200 dollars on all the stuff she brought! I told her that she didn't have to do it, but she said that she knew that we hadn't kept any of the baby stuff from the boys, and that we were starting from scratch, and she just wanted to help. She said that she hopes the boys and the baby will call her grandma, because she won't be one otherwise. I said of course!

I just don't know what to say! I keep going down stairs to look at the crib in the box. I can't wait til Dec when we move from here and are able to put it together! :D

Nuts huh?

Wouldn't be too bad. Especially if you find names you really like. My step mother has 4 names. Mary Jane Lynn W. Mary Jane is her first, Lynn is her middle and W would be the last name.

I did save some of the toys.. lol.. Joan wanted to give them all to the boys at once, but I knew I'd have my hands full the rest of the day if that happened. Reward for good behavior is a good idea. I did give them the "rocking turtles". They were too cute not to. They are big stuffed turtles that are rounded and a little tough on the bottom, and they are wearing a sadle and the boys sit on em and can rock back and forth! LOL I'll have to get a pic as soon as I get batteries for the digital camera.

Morr: "What a wonderful surprise! That is great!

It does save a LOT of worry and money. Things have been tight around here, and it doesn't seem to want to get better, so this was such a great surprise! It was funny, cause I read your thread and was like.. "wow.. that's awesome that she got a crib for free! How does that happen?" LOL.. then only an hour and a half later I get one too! UGH! I feel like I'm 14 again! Why, do you ask? My face is broke out! Completely!!! This hasn't happened since I was 14 years old! With the other two pregnancies I had BEAUTIFUL skin. LOVED it. People said that I looked great. Hair was full and shiny! Awesome! NOW though, I have the skin of a 14 year old and I am shedding hair like CrAzY! And it's dull as dull can be. What happened?????? LOL

Also, call me crazy but I think I'm starting to feel the baby move. Not kicks and punches, but I'll get a flutter in my belly every once in awhile. This has happened earlier and earlier with each pregnancy as well.

I also am starting to look pregnant. One morning I woke up and I had a little belly! (getting batteries tomorrow morning for the camera so that I can finally start taking pics) My tummy is feeling harder, and it's WAY up high.. lol.. another big difference. I carried both boys really really low.

I'm starting to not have to pee AS much, except when we are out shopping. Don't know what it is, but when we are walking around, I have to stop at every restroom possible. (Which my oldest loves right now, cause he's the kind of kid that if he hasn't been in a bathroom in a store or restuarant, that's the first thing he says.. "I GOTTA GO POTTY!")

That's about it.. I have a doctor's appointment on the 8th. :)

It looks like Hubby is transfering in little more than two weeks.. which means that we have shut off our cable and such, so I'm on dial up. We'll be moving to Mississippi. I have turned off all images and avis and signatures so that these pages load faster so that hopefully I can still come here, but after we move I'm not sure how soon before we will be back online. I'm in the midst of finding a new doctor and new genetics team as we speak. (type) :)

Morr, if you read this, GOOD LUCK WITH HAVING THE BABY!!!! I have a feeling you'll have her real soon, and I know I'm going to miss it, which totally sucks!

Athena, Hopefully we'll be back online before your due date, so I can see how things are going with you.

We are moving on August 31st, and I have a doctor's appointment on August 30th for the tests and such. Tomorrow I'm going to call him and see if He'll do the ultra sound, instead of the genetics place (my doctor actually studied genetics, so he knows what he's looking for). I'm also hoping he'll do it, cause that's around the time we'd get to find out the sex of the baby!!!! :D

KaidaMidnight

I've set up to have the ultra sound on august 29th, the day before my last doctor's appointment (well, the last one here...) I'll be close to 18 weeks, and while they prefer to do it at 19 or 20 weeks, my doctor wanted to get it done before I left. I might not get a chance to post after it, as I have a feeling the phone company is going to shut the phone off any time now (I informed them we were moving... LOL), but I WILL post as soon as I can after it. :)

And who knows, maybe they will be able to tell me if lil AJ has a hotdog or hamburger :D

Congrats on being pregnant! Not sure if you was still interested in it or not but I saw you'd asked about 3D/4D ultrasounds, most places won't do them until after 20wks (just because the baby really doesnt have much "fat" on it and looks freaky) but if you wait until 25-28 wks you will get wonderful pictures.. I got it done with Gwyndare when i was 22 & 24 wks pregnant and it was amazing!!

thanks! Yeah, we are going to get it done, once we move. My mom has offered to help pay for it ($150!!! after moving is a lot of money! LOL)

Yeah, I want them to say "yup, it's a boy/girl" and then show me EXACTLY where they are looking. They told us that our second baby was a girl, 100%! And he was born a boy. LMAO... I hadn't thought to ask what they were looking at, they kept saying that it was the umbilical cord between "her" legs. And they only looked for like 30 seconds, so this time, I'm going to see if they'll look, wait for the baby to move a little bit, then check again... LOL

Nervous, excited and just plain tired! These are what I'm feeling today. I go in tomorrow at 10:15 for my ultra sound. I'm nervous because of the genetics stuff, and even though there is a small chance of it (because I've had two perfect healthy babies already), it's still in the back of my mind that something could be wrong. I'm excited because we should be able to tell what the baby is. Yes, in a small little way I am hoping that it is a girl. I would love to have a baby girl. But having another boy would be good too. For one, we'd know what to do! LOL.. we've had 2 already, so a 3rd wouldn't be different. I am tired of packing and cleaning! I feel like I own a laundry mat with all the clothes, towels, sheets and blankets I've washed in the last 2 days!

Well, back to work. I'll be posting tomorrow after my appointment, hopefully with pics and a gender! :D

My belly is HUGE! LOL I look like I could be about 7 months instead of just 5...

I have found that I can not eat a lot of meat at a time. It makes me feel sick. So Lots of salads and fruits is what I've been having. Also, there is this restaurant here in town that every time I go past it, I start to feel sick.. Don't ask me why.. maybe the smell or something. We haven't eaten there or anything.. *shrugs* I don't know.. this pregnancy has been so different then the other two boys, that I never know what to expect.

Alekzander is such moving around a lot. Every once in awhile he'l give a good strong kick and you'll see my belly move a tiny bit.. LOL.. it's kind cue. I use to miss that with the other boys. Kinda sad that this will probably be my last pregnancy.

I still miss the movement inside me that Harry used to make. Towards the end of my pregnancy you could just about make out if it was his hand or his foot....or elbow that he was using!!

I used to work in the offices of a sugar refinery throughout my pregnancy and if we were making golden syrup or black treacle I would feel sick because of the smell, funny how certain smells can turn your stomach!

Enjoy your pregnancy!

Best wishes and lots of positive energy to you and yours

Not much to tell. Randy felt Alekzander kick for the first time last night. He had his hand on my belly while we were watching tv, and AJ decided to give a HUGE kick (or punch... couldn't tell which one it was) and Randy got a huge grin on his face. RW and IC have both taken to talking to their brother now too. IC will come up and lift my shirt up and pat my belly saying "Hi baby! I'm Zayah "(how he says Isaiah.. lol) We are just waiting to see how he'll react once AJ is here. :)

The last couple of days, I've woken up, and my pelvic area Aches. Like, hard to walk ache. And my back has been killing me. Plus, I've got this "full" feeling down in my pelvic area. I didn't have any of this with my other two pregnancies, so I'm taking it easy. I haven't had any type of cramps, or show... although my discharge has increased a little since a couple weeks ago. I don't know if it's just because AJ is moving lower or if he's hitting a nerve or what.

I HAVE INSURANCE!!!!! This came as a COMPLETE shock! We were really starting to worry about having the baby without it (I know, the hospital would have to take me, but after having two babies with insurance, I was scared NOT to have the insurance). Anyway, on Friday we got a piece of mail, that I was just going to throw away. It was from the insurance company that hubby had while working at Krispy Kreme. I figured it was just them letting us know that the termination was final or whatever. well, hubby opens it and it is a letter stating that we can continue coverage. Now, the plan we were on before is a LOT more than we can afford now... so I didn't really think we would be able to do, but I called and the guy said that I can be the main person on the insurance instead of Randy, and that we could change the plan to just me, instead of the family. :D that's almost $500 saved a month! They helped us fill out the paper work, and I'll be getting my insurance card in a week. The good thing is that the pregnancy is covered because it will be like we never stopped the insurance! :D **does a BIG happy dance**

Just a couple more weeks... that's what I keep telling myself. I am in the bathroom every freakin hour! I can't sleep... and any sort of movement hurts my pelvic area. Walking is like someone is ripping me up down there. I got a boppy pillow that was helping me to sleep at night, but now even that isn't working. :(
Plus, I'm also feeling like a huge blob. Hubby says I look great and sexy and all that, but I can look in the mirror. I can't reach down to tie my shoes (so I've been wearing slip ons.. and it's getting colder now.. so my toes are cold! LOL) And I can feel my breasts getting ready for milk. You know, that tingling feeling and heaviness? ugh... I don't mind it once I'm BFing, but now???

AND.. we got the house.. which is great! Except that I'm in pain when I move, so dealing with 2 little boys, and trying to pack up all of our stuff again is not fun.

Ok, I didn't mean to post an all "wah wah" post... but ugh..

Still no baby.. just can't move around to get to the computer. (Our bedroom is upstairs, and the computer is down stairs, and it is soooo painful to walk) This baby is as stubborn as his daddy, that's for sure.. I think I AM going to be pregnant forever....

oh hun, I know exactly how you feel. I was there just a couple weeks ago. I'd send you labor dust but apparently mine's no good.

The pain in my pelvis is somewhat better but still very painful. Still hurts to lay on my sides, do stairs, put my pants on, etc... just doesn't make me scream anymore. I thought it would clear up once i had the baby. I hope yours does, but be aware it may not.

Well, this weekend every time I went to the bathroom, I was wiping yucky snotty stuff (Sorry!!! TMI I know! LOL). No contractions really, but pressure. When I went to the doctor friday, he swipped my membranes... said I was a good three cm and that I was a little more than 60% effaced. Just wish that I would finally start having contractions.

Sounds promising. Maybe you won't have hours and hours of labor, just a few contractions and PUSH.

Oh trust me  . if I wasn't so uncomfortable I would... maybe tonight when he gets home from work...

I sure hope so Lunacie. With RW I was in labor for 14 hours (then only pushed for 16 minutes). With IC I was in labor for 7 hours, but they had to take him with the vaccuum, because of some complications. I'm hoping this one goes by fast and smooth.
