Ok I have a batch of trivia cards from a game and I am thinking of making a board of sometype for my kids. I thought I would share bits of the trivia with you guys for your kids. Then we can all figure out some good game board things to do with it. :)

I have five catagories of cards Science, Geography, History, Movies and Words. I was thinking a checker board made out of a sheet where to move your beanbags on the board you have to answer a question right. What do you all think?

Science question for you.....From what animal is "ambergris" obtained?

I think that's a cool idea!

Umm....but I don't know the answer to the question. LOL Do you really mean "animal" or you mean what "creature". I think animal as like dog, cat, fish, elephant-something w/ 4legs I guess. Am I on the right track?

It's still used for a base for many perfumes. People used to gather or harvest this washed ashore on the beaches.

Somata/stomata

He he! I was not *too* far off with somatatypes. A stomata is:

The dermal system consists of the epidermis, or outermost layer, of the plant body. It forms the skin of the plant, covering the leaves, flowers, roots, fruits, and seeds. Epidermal cells vary greatly in function and structure.

The epidermis may contain stomata, openings through which gases are exchanged with the atmosphere.
(From encarta)

It hit me in the shower this morning that word I was thinking of was "stomata" with a T.

LOL!

Chris~filled with bits of useless knowledge
