What do you use for shampoo and conditioner? Bubblebath? Soap? Lotions? Makeup?

I'm just happy, I got this really expensive shampoo and conditioner on the weekend from the salon - joico kpak reconstructor, and it's been great for my hair! The shampoo smells like really rich sweet coconut and the conditioner like fruitcake. Yum!

I use whatever is in the shower shampoo and conditioner wise. Right now it's Renewal 5x.

I always use Ivory soap because most others make me feel slimy--ew!

For lotion and bubble bath I use Johnson and Johnson Bedtime Baby with Lavender and Chamomile.

But it all changes from week to week! ;)

My favorite product is witch hazel. Since I began using it as my daily astringent a few years ago, I never have a breakout. Also, since beginning this routine, what facial soap I use make no difference. (As long as use something.)

Soap - Ivory
Shampoo - St. Ives: extra shine
Conditioner - St. Ives: intensive conditioner
Lotion (body) - St. Ives (dry skin-something or other) or Victoria Secret
Lotion (face) - Oil of Olay: complete (fragrance free)
Bubble Bath - Victoria Secret: Exotic bouquet or Aveeno: oatmeal stuff

Shampoo - a liquid shampoo I make up from my homemade shampoo bars.
Hair rinse - sometimes a bottle of stale beer, sometimes an herbal infusion.
Body soap - home made
Body lotion - home made also. Usually scented with whatever essential oils I feel like.
Face lotion/cream - home made (what else :D) Right now, it's a cream that I made from a base of green tea. Something I've been experimenting with.
Make up - I don't usually wear make up. Sometimes I use a lip balm that I tinted with ratanjot for a bit of colour.

Here's a super duper easy recipe to make your own petroleum jelly with out using petroleum by-products. Much healthier for your skin!

1 tbsp of grated unrefined beeswax
5 tbsp of oil (sweet almond, jojoba, olive oil, grapeseed oil - which is good for sensitive & acne prone skin)

Melt wax & oil together over a double boiler. Stir & pour into a clean jar & let hardened. If the consistency is too hard, add another tbsp of oil. That's it! :)

body gel soap stuff - Lavander , Yves Rocher
Lotion - Lavender - Yves Rocher
don't use face cream
Make up - Yves Rocher and whatever is cheapest, or has the colours I want.
I also use Lavander or Eucalyptus bath oils - Yves Rocher

I am the toiletry QUEEN!!!

Shampoo & Conditioner - KPak Reconstruct

Hair Stuff - lotion, gel - infusium 23, leave in conditioner - herbal essences, shine spray - frizz ease, hair spray, mousse - salon selectives - you know, I haven't been using any of this except the gel lol

Face - Clean & Clear Continuous Control Wash and the 'microscrubbers' cleansing cloths, and C&C Dual Action Moisturizer

Body - Dulce Vanilla body wash and lotion, or Oil of Olay Moisturizing body wash and Baby Oil, or Healing Garden tangerine scrub and lotion

Makeup - Maybelline, Bonne Belle eyeliner (midnight bark), and Revlon skinlights lip gloss (the makeup changes sometimes, and I have a goodie box full of other eyeshadows and lipstick; this is just what's in the makeup cup today :))

And I just cleaned out the closet of stuff I wasn't using lol

It changes from time to time,

I use infusium 23 conditioner for my hair. I'm not sure of the shampoo... Can't remember the name. I don't use gel, mousse, or hair spray. Only on occation, then I use whatever my mom or sister have.

I also have goodie boxes full of eye shadows and lipsticks, my uncle or aunt usually get me then for X-mas. I use the shadow and brushes but the lipstick really taste yucky!

I can't remember most of the names of stuff I use.. 8O hmm... oh well.

Make up can get so expensive :(

Interesting subject! :D

Shampoo & Conditioner...at the moment the cheap Suave because I'm poor, as soon as I have the extra money I'm buying my shampoo from Aveda.

Body Wash...I've got a couple I'm trying to use up, Bath and Body works, and I think a bottle from St. Ives of raspberry stuff. *laughs*

Lotions....Freeman Lemon Balm and Wild Mint for my feet, and I'm using up an Aloe based lotion for everything else. Also apricot seed oil for self-massage.

Make up....transitioning over to Aveda products, so it's a mix of that and Cover Girl. Some assorted lipstick companys (don'tcha hate it when they taste/smell nasty!)
And I just bought a new lemonade flavored lip gloss that is fabulous!! :D

Luna...lucky you that you can use witch hazel. I'd love to but discovered I'm allergic to it when I picked up some deoderant with it a year ago. *shudders* That was not fun.

Ah, the point where the fact that a) I'm an actor and b) am 29, not 19, starts to really show. I'm all about makeup and pampering my skin.

Don't wear makeup around the house on days off, but totally believe in vitamins and sun protection. I coat my face with Fruit of the Earth vitamin E lotion at least twice a day. I wash nightly with Oil of Olay daily facials, and in the morning with either a glycerine soap like Neutrogena (glycerine is vital to maintaining skin health, and many commercial soaps remove glycerine, which is a natural by product of soap making - to sell for other uses) or Oil of Olay face wash. I usually combine the Vitamin E with something else, alternating Revlon Radiance Vitamin C, Nivea Visage Alpha~Flavon, and Origins' have a Nice Day/ Nitamins. Plau always an SPF 15 something.

Body lotion is a constant - St. Ives makes good inexpensive ones, and I also buy from Bath and Body Works and the Body Shop (when they have sales usually, so in bulk). Body soap I usualy either get handmade from friends, or buy good handmade from some place like Bathos, which is a Nashville must.

Shampoo/ Conditioner: Sheer Blonde by John Frieda, alternated with Aveda Chamomile, plus Citreshine Conditioner on occassion. Burt's Bees Avacado Hair Butter is also great.

Product: usually Bed Head Control Freak and Citreshine Smoothing Mist to straighten my wavy frizz to sleek and shiny.

Makeup - I buy a lot of different things, obviously I have professional stage makeup, but even on stage I like more natural stuff.
I don't wear liquid base, except onstage, so that comes from Prescriptives. I do like the new powder light foundations, becasue I hate the effect of loose powder - Oil of Olay makes a nice one, so does Benefit.
General fav makeup brands: Benefit, Clinique, Stila, Sephora, MAC, Rimmel (I started buying this at Boots in London, ages ago, and now they carry it at Walmart!), Oil of Olay, Body Shop, Jane.

Bubble Bath and such: Bath and Body Works, Johnson and Johnson Baby Bath, essential oils and herbs.

I get facials about once every two to three months, get my eyebrows waxed about once a month, and have finally succumbed to the lure of bikini wax instead of the razor.

And next to most of my friends, I'm pretty low maintenance. . .

For Shampoo and Conditioner, I'm using Nexxus right now.
But, I want to get the Matrix "amplify" line. I also like Pantene, if I don't have the money for the others.

For Soap, I like to get natural soaps. I have a Hemp/Patchouli blend that I get for my husband, and for myself, a Rose Gardenia blend. But..I also like glycerine soaps. In a variety of scents. For regular brand name soaps, I like Irish Spring.

Body Wash- Oil of Olay, Herbal Essences, Stuff from Garden Botanica, Bath and Body Works, Crabtree and Evelyn, and the Body Shoppe are always my favorite. Generally, it doesn't matter what scent. Cucumber/Melon, any kind of berry, citrus, floral scents, peach, vanilla, whatever, it's all good :)

I used to have a passion for Crabtree and Evelyn's Fairhaven Peach. But they discontinued it. I also LOVE nantucket briar by them...and they have this apricot kernel oil shampoo and conditioner which I think is out of this world.

Hair Spray, whatever works,
Shine Spray- Aussie, or Citrishine,
Mousse, whatever works (until I get the amplify ;) )

I also love alot of the Victoria's Secret scents. I haven't bought any in a while, but I have so many of them, i just never seem to run out. I love their Pear Glace, Vanilla Lace, Exotic Bouquet, Raspberry Glace, Peach Hyacinth, Tranquil Breeze. I haven't tried many of their new ones, since I haven't run out of any of the ones I do have, as of yet :) My lotion collection is just nutty. I have so many differen't types. My husband has started using them when he's around the house, because his hands get so dry and he's continually running out of his own. So basically, he get's teased alot for smelling "Fruity". lol.

I love St. Ives apricot facial scrub.

Bubble Bath? Anything. LOL. Sometimes, I find some really good scents at dollar stores, believe it or not. We have a great dollar store near us, and I recently found this "Grapefruit" Bubble Bath that is out of this world. Made from all natural ingredients. But..I also use the calgon, vaseline intensive care stuff if I dont' have the money for anything else. My favorites, are the really expensive stuff you get from the bath and body works and victoria's secret, and crabtree and evelyn type places. Bath and Body Works had this Milkbath a while ago, that was awesome. Don't know if they still carry it.

I'm not particular about my makeup, as long as it doesn't cause an allergy ;) For colors I use warm earthy tones, peach/mauve/brown tones for blush, brownish or bronze tone lip color, brown eye liner, clear lip gloss, etc. For eyecolor, depends on my mood.

I had a mary kay makeover not too long ago, and they had an orchid color eye shadow, and raisin lip color, both of which worked well on me.

I can't use reds, or bright pinks at all.

Perfumes? Body Shoppe Fuzzy Peach perfume Oil, Body Shoppe Cucumber perfume oil, Tea Rose (don't know what company), or Ginger Lotus right now...I used to love nantucket briar, from Crabtree and evelyn, and I used to love Odysee by Avon.

Shampoo and conditioner: Trader Joe's brand. It's good on my hair, it's all natural, it smells like cherry blossoms, and it's very cheap!

Soap: Whatever's handy. I use St Ives apricot scrub for my face.

Bath salts: I use my mom's homemade stuff.

I don't really wear makeup.

I completely forgot my face wash! :D

Sundari....Lemon face scrub for Kapha skin.
www.sundari.com

Totally expensive products but they work great!

And I use the Burt's Bee Avacado Hair Conditioner to...*grins*...I think because Az suggested it to me at one point. It makes your hair really really soft.

Oh, perfumes, forgot those.

I don't like a lot od commercial perfumes - I buy Ananya and other scents at The Body Shop, and then I usually wear fragrances from Demeter, because they are light, not full of alcohol, and smell cool!

You can find them at fashion planet online. My current favs are Dirt, Gin and Tonic, and Belladonna.

Perfumes? Was that on the list...hmm...Don't usually wear perfume..Have Bonnebelle Emotion stuff..Shy & Lucky (lucky stinks, don't buy it!) :p Usually I wear body spray though.Calgon, or Caboodles.. :) (Love Hawaiian Ginger..)

Just got a Burt's Bees sampler! The shampoo bar is fabulous! Usually buy a nice smelling suave or VO5....

I use Feria conditioner left over from color jobs. When that runs out I'm in trouble... :D I leave it in and it leaves my hair soft and shiny!

Aveeno oatmeal face wash with soy is wonderful!

I like something heavy duty soapwise. Natural stuff with oatmeal and lots of herbs in it for some exfoliating action!

I use a solid honeysickle perfume I bought on vacation. Some aromatherapy company with Rome in the name makes it....

Got the super ultra mega level 10 gel from Dep. Finally something to keep my unruly hair in place!

When I was blonde I liked the got2be yellow pomade. Adds lots of shine and shapes a bit... doesn't work on my natural brown though... :(

My makeup usually comes from Jane or Rimmel because I like something that's both nice and cheap! Occasionally I splurge on Almay and Max Factor...

My feet get Peppermint sloughing lotion when they're lucky. It's from Sally's beauty supply....

I thought this was so interesting to compare I had to add to it...

Shampoo/Conditioner: Right now, it's Suave bc a lot of others build up on my hair... not to mention I'm a poor college student. Once I can afford it, I will probably be going to either biologe or Paul Mitchel...

Other Hair Products: Salon Selectives hair spray at the moment, but subject to change when it runs out... and Mousse/gel, whatever I have at the time, but when I get some money I will get Paul Mitchel gel for the new haircut with Bed Head other stuff...

Soap: Bath & Body shower gel, various scents, but I like the pearberry and Cucumber Mellon... Also use Victoria's Secret ones too

Bubbles: Again, B&B Pearberry... however, there isn't a bathtub to use here :(

Makeup: It's actually almost all Mabelline... I don't go for the liquid foundation, instead I use either just powder in the summer, or the Purestay at other times or when dressing up... My lipstick is either Mabelline Wet Shine or Revlon Color Stay with gloss when I need something to last. Mabelline Full & Soft mascara... (Ok, so I do makeup too... When I wear it which is usually whenever I'm NOT doing something school related)

Perfume: I for the most part go for the natural-type scents... Cucumber Mellon again, Pearberry (noticing a trend? hehe), Victoria's Secret Secret Crush and Whispering Mist - and oddly enough, throw in a bottle of Gap (I know... *Shudder*) Heaven...

hehe, if I didn't cover everything, I'll be surprised... I didn't realize my list would be so long!!!

And as soon as I sent it, I remember I forgot to add Eucerin facewash and moistureizer... The stuff works wonders when the air is as dry as a sauna 24/7... Plus it's super gentle on sensitive skin

Just heard of this from a friend who had to have reconstructive face surgery, so decided to go the whole face-lift.
The plastic surgeons nurse (WITH A STUNNING COMPLEXION)
gave her this secret:
Once or twice a week, gently wash the face with baking soda.
You can add a drop of carrot seed oil or another essential oil known to be good for the complexion.
I've tried it. I am 53yrs. Never has my skin looked/felt better.

Okay let's see, at the moment...
*note-I'm goin' thru my supplies, and hauling them out of the bathroom as I do this*

Shampoo: (using)-citre' shine moisturizing shampoo, personal care herbal extra body for norm. to oily hair (it's dollar general's answer to herbal essences), suave naturals chamomile. (stashed)-heat activated thermal (a 'compare to-" brand), and suave naturals aloe vera.

Conditioner - suave herbal care laverder:passion flower and vitamin b (which I will probably go thru in a week or less. Not b/c of long hair, it's just that dry and sponge like for some reason)

body washes - zest sunspray fresh, and suave naturals ocean breeze.

soap bar - original formula caress nature's silk

lotion - avon's vita moist, which I have used since at least, the third grade. It's the only one that doesn't make me feel like a slug, or give me "little kid with a popsicle"-sticky hands.

make up:
foundation - covergirl smoothers in ivory
blush - clinque 04 pink blush
mascara - wet n wild smudgeproof protein mascara in brown 642 or almay one coat
lipstick - color depends on what I'm wearing, but my favorite brand/type is L'oreal so delice. They smell so great! And they work like chapstick without feeling like you got kissed by a slug.I say everyone who wears lipstick, should try it. it's in a pretty pink-purple shiny tube with a gold band. *sniiiiif*

*reads her above comment. Was I a pack-rat in another life or something? Sheeeesh*

Shampoo: Herbal essences, ever since I started using it my hair is always really soft and I never get split ends anymore.
Bubble bath: Don't use.
Soap: the stuff I make myself (peppermint and chamomile).
Face stuff: body shop for cleaning purposes, for makeup I use a mixture of body shop, cover girl, and revlon. I don't particularly like cover girl, but they're the only ones who make anything pale enough for me.
Lotions: St. Ives vanilla aromatherapy and the body shop's satsuma.

I'm fortunate that my friend/neighbor is a hair stylist; I get the salon stuff at her cost.

I use Rusk shampoo and conditioner, & Biosilk pomade, hairspray and color.
Hubby uses Montage shampoo and conditioner; smells wonderful!

Freeman face and body scrub, (gotta try that baking soda wash) and Loreal vit. E moisturizer. And I love those puff-thingies to wash with!

Make up varies; I like Max Factor and Loreal the best.

Sandalwood for scent....

Shampoo- I gotta say I’m a big Herbal Essences fan.
Other Hair Stuff- I have this stuff for my curly hair (Curls Up by Special Effects) and it smells *awesome*, “clean” is the only way to put it. It looks kinda funky in the bottle (it’s bright yellow/orange), but it works really well. If anyone has curly hair and hates frizz I really recommend it. It’s pretty cheap too (you can find it at Target).
Scents: Anything from Victoria's Secret. :D I’m in love with that store. Bath and Body works too.
Make-up: Covergirl powder foundation, and mascara are really the only thing I buy. The rest of my make-up is clinque free gifts that my mom doesn’t want. :D Most of the time I only wear a little foundation, mascara and lip gloss. If I’m feeling really girly I’ll opt for blush. 8O

Shampoo -- Okay, well, I like to switch on and off between a few. Usually Aussie Mega for Shampoo though
Conditioner -- Paul Mitchell, ThermaSilk or Herbal Essences
Lotions -- Cucumber Melon! And Strawberries and Champagne from Victoria's Secret
Perfume -- Hawiian Ginger, Raspberry Plumeria, or Cucumber Melon again
Make-Up -- Revlon Foundation, the no-wrinkles kinda, I got it from my grandma when I was a little girl, and have been using it ever since. Wet n' Wild black eyeliner, Mary Kay lipstick usually and mascara, bonne belle lip gloss sometimes....mary kay blush sometimes too. It all depends on what my mood is and what's just lying around! *lol*
Soaps -- Right now some homemade stuff in scents Plumeria and Pearberry :D

Soap- I use soap made by a women named Tami Tami's Soapworks (http://www.soapbytami.com/) Her soap is the best soap I have ever used in my life. She has a lot of different scents, my favorite is the Pleasing Plum Spice , but I love all of her soap.

Shampoo- I use shampoo bars made by a Work at home mom, but I can't remember her name right now. Tami makes shampoo also, but I haven't tried it yet.

Lotion- Burts bee buttermilk baby lotion. I bought this for my son, but I love the smell of it for me to.

Shampoo & Conditioner...Suave's herbalessence knock-off
I don't use mousse, gel, etc. Never got the hang of applying it correctly. I wash my hair, brush it with a stiff-bristled brush, & rarely use a dryer.

Bodywash, facial cleanser...Nivea. I love their stuff.

Moisterizer...in the summer, I use Nivea's Visage, but in the winter when my skin dries out I slather on plain old Nivea Creme. I use it by the ton. I usually have a tub of the stuff in the bath, in the bedroom, where I watch TV, & another in my locker at work.

Make-up: I have no brand loyalty other than Loreal's Lashout/Splashout Mascara (whichever the store has in back-brown when I need it). I'll use any brand in the colors I like. I don't care for foundation...most brands feel too heavy, so I use Nivea's tinted moisturizer, but not often. LOTS of sunblock all year, because I work outside a lot.

Since I have extremely dy (psoriasis) and sensative skin I have to be very careful about everything. Even Ivory soap breaks me out in ugly red hives. Same with Dove or anything by Jergens.
For now, my soap of choice is Sauve Aloe and Water Lily shower gel or Bath and Body Works Cucumber and Melon shower gel. Bubble bath is B&BW's Cucuber and Melon.
For my face I use Aveeno cleansers and an aloe and lanolin facial cloth when I wear make up, which isn't often. I use good ol' Johnsons baby lotion on my face and Aveeno baby lotion all over. What little make up I own is a mix of stuff, some of which I haven't even opened yet.
Since I used to have hair down to my waist until I have my son and had it hacked all the way back to my shoulders I always have a good hydrating shampoo and conditioner, currently by VO5 as well as the weekly hot oil treatment. I use Sauve's herbal mousse and spray gel on the rare occassion I actually need to style it. I baby my hair like crazy. No spray or gel or mousse at home or for just running to the store. When I cut my hair, I donated the 11 inches we cut off to Lockes of Love since the hair was so healthy and gorgous. All that hair was just too much for me with a new baby.
