The atheist we all love to hate, Brett Keane, (remember that jerk?) got so royally kicked out of YouTube! He had more than 900 videos and 3600 subscribers! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

LOL!! I don't know if I want to go into the nitty gritty details here.

What goes 'round comes 'round.

I don't spend hardly anytime witching videos. Heck I don't have the time so I have no clue who this person is.

Good. I don't like him. Too arrogant and he never listens. I prefer TheAmazingAtheist.

Ha!

I did a search on Yahoo with his name, just to see what came up and Yahoo had a search suggestion of "Brett Keane gets Owned (http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=slv8-&p=brett+keane+gets+owned&rs=0&fr2=rs-top)" ...interesting.

After he came here with his crap I stopped paying attention to him or his videos, though now I'm curious about why he was kicked out of YouTube.

Oh, this might be why (http://youtube.com/watch?v=tETGIgN7b5I)(video about his suspension).

Well, you know after the way he acted toward this forum and the members here, that I might have had a little grudge, right?

And, you know many, many others who had been stung in the same way had similar grudges and were not adverse to having a tad bit of fun at his expense, right?

Uh... well there was a bit leading up to the moment he posted the suicidal, to his TY account, video that he knew full well would get him banned.

Brett can sure dish it out. It was finally his turn to take it.

I have been a very naughty girl.

He deserved it. He broke the rules, was probably given warnings, and still refused to obey. I, for one, am not upset about this.

He deserved it. He broke the rules, was probably given warnings, and still refused to obey. I, for one, am not upset about this. But the real question is WHY did he break the rules when he knew full well that the result would be that he would get banned?

He did it because it got so hot in the kitchen that he took the cowards way out.

Do you want to see just how hot it got in the kitchen?

He broke them to get attention. TheAmazingAtheist has a video which he points out Brett Keane's flaws and I agree with him. He plays the persecution complex too well and this is just another angle for him to play "victim".

Funny thing you should ask.

OK, here are two links. Actually, you don't even have to watch the videos.

The real story is in the comments. Expand them at the bottom.

 Well, that explains it all. He deserves it if he published an address and a phone number, plus plagiarized a poem. He deserves everything he gets.

I believe the real reason that he imploded and published the video, that he knew would get him banned, was that he couldn't lie his way out and he did not have the guts to bear up under the public scorn and ridicule. It was pretty much a feeding freenzy because he had ticked off so many people.

All he should have done was say, "Opps, a boo boo~!" But, he lied and lied and lied. He got caught every time.

Anyway, after the way he acted toward MW, I thought that would give a few people a tad of satisfaction.

Seems the most plausible to me.

ETA: Looks like he moved somewhere else: http://www.livevideo.com/TheForsakenChild (has a new video up)
Blah. Okay. I actually watched one "Crazy Gossip & Slander Challenge" He's really clueless. He think that it's soooo hard to find a poem online if no author or title is given. Wrong. All one needs to do is search some verses or key phrases of the poem and odds are you'll get the info you want. I do that with songs I can't remember the title or singer of, I just search what I remember and I find the info out!

Heh. Whatever.

1. I agree :eyebrow: .
All of these have tons of comments. Seems like one of the hottests dramas on YT. Or something. I've only watched a few videos. I really don't care, but it's sort of amusing.

2. So not only did he threaten someone's life (from what I heard in another video) he also plagiarized: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3XosDWY85M (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3XosDWY85M)
Which is why I made my comment before, about it not being hard at all to search for a poem with no name or title and see if there are other versions online. It's totally concievable that those people would figure it out so quickly. No need to wade though libraries and crap. Here's a video saying just that says and shows just that (here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p30-WAcLa1g)). Duh.

3. "Br*tt"
Yeah, he banned from YT. I don't know if that deletes his comments though. :2G:

He was making video responses instead of text responses. In them he accused other people of doctoring the evidence. Those videos disappeared with his account. The problem was that hundreds of people witnessed it all unfold and knew his response videos were lies. So, he just dug in deeper and deeper until he imploded.

He is still telling lies on his LiveVideo account. But, who cares?

The main reason I brought it up at all is because I thought it would be of interest to a number of people here who he insulted and abused by twisting what was said and going on at MW in a couple of his videos a while back.

I thought there might be some tiny satisfaction in knowing that he finally got his just deserts.

You probably missed the part where on another site his criminal record, a matter of public information, was posted. Seems there is some reason to think he is a wife and mother beater. It was the owner of that site whose personal information he published in the video that got him banned.

http://www.atheistfm.com/discussion/index.php

That is why he is taken to task about family abuse in the comments. But, I doubt you read them all. It was a long story.

Anyhow, he has been bannished and gone off to LiveVideo where he will have little influence for a long, long time.

Agaliha

Yeah...I missed a lot of parts :2G: I'm suprised all this drama is over him the amount of videos and video responses on lately is crazy. I only watched a few, but man...there's so many. Is this the only noteworthy thing in the online Atheist community?
I hope not! Brett isn't worth it. Seriously. He never was. Though the fact that all his crap caught up to him is pretty amusing. Seems like he was a scammer, lier, plagiarist, and tons of other things. Eh. Good riddence, though it seems with his new account and videos he's not going to fade off into obscurity. Damn.

Oh and I did check that site out, how...shady :2G:

Oh and I did check that site out, how...shady :2G: Actually, it is important to the atheist community. Brett Keane had a HUGE viewership. That is why you are seeing so much activity around this one person being banned. He was seen and noted by people of all faiths all over the world daily. He was on the first page of the most discussed list day after day after day.

The problem with that is that he did to many others what he did to us and it caused a whole lot of hatred and disdain toward Atheists. People could point to him and say, "See, that is what those immoral, scumbag atheists are really like."

He was having an enormous impact. And, trust me. He did not help atheists in the general community.

And, no, there are a lot of good things going on online in the Atheist community. There are links to many of them in other threads in this forum.

Okay, well I get you in that regard. It is (sadly) true he had such a huge viewship. And I trust you, I'm sure he didn't help the atheist community at all. After seeing how he acted on here and various things I gathered for YT. How long until the damage lasts? Or will people be basing their ideas of atheism off of various crap he said and have a false impression of it for a long time to come?

Good to know! Hard to know. People will believe what they want to about atheists, anyway. But, at least, they won't be able to point to his YT videos to prove their point any more. He does have a lot of videos elsewhere but none of those places have the major impact of YT.

Futher, as YT continues to grow, new people will not see him featured every day on the most discussed list.

So, actually, my personal feelings aside, I think this is pretty big news in the Atheist community.

I didn't care for him when he came an here(like most people), but what goes around, comes around. I guess Karma(or what have you) got to him. What I find funny is how on livevideo.com he said how Christians and people of other faiths emailed him and said that he help them and that the Christians said they weren't going to be Christian any more because they learned so much from him. Kind of topic now and really non of my business but if those people where truly Christian(or any other faith for that matter) then listening to him would not change you, it takes some more dramatic to change some one, they weren't truly Christian then(yes I know I don't know the people and this is just IMO and is also nothing against any one), that's how I see it.

He makes up a lot of stuff that can never be proven nor disproven.

And, BTW I have received tons of e-mails from people who are so greatful for my comments and posts that they want me to head the United Nations. They firmly believe that only I can save the planet and rescue them from impending cruel fate.

BTW, is the same guy who I heard burned the Koran and Bible in one of his videos?, I'm not sure if it's true or not, but if it is, he's just an redneck idiot, and just an atheist fundamentalist (gods, you really do get fundamentalists in everything, don't you?).

Thanks for the link. Thing is though is that the two videos are just showing what is really there. The first show the radicals that are out there, he even says that don't blame the few for the all. In the second one he just quotes the Qur'an, they way he does it I might not agree with but it didn't seem he did it in a really hateful way like Brett.
